The Property:
The Beaver Den Lodge is a home that works well for pretty much any group type. All 3 bedrooms feature a king or queen sized bed, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fan, closets, and a dedicated bathroom, which makes the home an ideal choice for 3 couples. However, in addition to a queen bed, bedroom # 3 also has 3 extra long twin beds, which makes the home an ideal choice 2 couples plus up to 5 single adults or kids. You can even bring your dog, since this home is pet friendly (please inquire for rules and restrictions).
On the entry level, tongue and groove ceilings with exposed beams combined with luxury leather furniture, hardwood floors, and a gas fireplace create a relaxing and cozy ambiance. A 75-inch smart TV with soundbar and HDMI inputs makes this a wonderful place to enjoy sports, movies, or to stream your favorite music and video content. Open the two sliding glass doors (with screen doors) and let in the cool mountain air. In spring, summer, and fall, the beautifully landscaped backyard and patio with hammock, gas fire table and lounge furniture make the outside space a real treat. While these items are stored during the winter season, the gas grill, outdoor dining set, and private hot tub remain available year-round. The hot tub is large (seven feet by seven feet), with 4 big corner seats plus middle seats for 2 more. The side yard is a great place for kids to play and is adjacent to the "front" porch, where you can enjoy log rocking chairs and the front garden, which blooms each year with perennials, including fresh raspberries in late July and August. Back inside, the dining table seats up to 10 people, and the adjacent kitchen makes serving up meals easy. In the kitchen, you'll find plenty of cabinet and pantry space, as well as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. This kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and then some, including small appliances such as a rice cooker, blender, crockpot, and a Swiss Raclette machine for fun winter dinners. The fridge has filtered water and ice for your convenience, so there's no need for bottled water when you stay here. Also on this main level, you'll have a full bathroom which includes a shower, and the foyer / entry area includes a closet and storage for coats and other gear.
The upper level of this home is where you'll find all 3 bedrooms, plus 3 full bathrooms. All 3 of the bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, smart TVs with Xfinity cable TV, and a dedicated bathroom. Everyone's happy! Bedroom 1 is the largest. It features a king size bed, two armchairs, a library of books for all ages, and the TV is mounted on a swivel so you can enjoy it from the bed or the armchairs. This bedroom includes a walk-in closet with washer and dryer. It also includes a large en suite bathroom which features dual sinks plus a steam shower with 2 shower heads 2 small benches. If hot tubs aren't your thing, maybe a steam shower will help you rejuvenate and refresh after a day full of adventure and activity! Bedroom 2 feels pretty large too, thanks to its very high ceilings. It has a queen bed and a large wall mounted smart TV. The bathroom for this bedroom is right across the hall, and has a large vanity plus a bathtub/shower combo. Bedroom 3 features high-end adult sized bunk beds. On the left you get an extra long twin bed over the queen bed, with 3 feet of clearance between the beds. These definitely don't feel like bunk beds. On the right you get an extra long twin bed over another extra long twin bed. Do you need to put a couple in this room? The queen bed means they're all set! A couple with kids? This room still works perfectly. 4 singles? No problem! 5 kids? Yep, they're good to go (to bed). This room also includes a desk, another wall mounted HDTV, and an en suite bathroom. That bathroom has a large vanity and bathtub/shower combo. There is a sun room off the bunk room. This space is locked off for storage of owner items.
Location:
This home is in Eagle Vail, which is known for its convenient and central location, right in between the world renowned ski resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek. Unlike Vail Village or Beaver Creek, though, here you get a lot more for your money. You can walk to the bus stop and ride to and from the resorts, or make the very short drive. It's just 2.6 miles to Beaver Creek's Riverfront Gondola or Elk Lot, and only 5.2 miles to Vail. Plus immediately around this home, you'll find some great local attractions. This home is 2 blocks off the Eagle Vail Golf Club''s gold course, which in the winter, doubles as a cross-country skier's paradise. Also very close by are the Eagle Vail Pavilion, Playground, Swimming Pool and Tennis Center, and the WIllow Creek Par 3 golf course. The Vail & Beaver Creek area has so much to offer, and this home is right in the heart of it all.
Arrival, Accessibility, Layout and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you before, during, and after your stay. We will provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answers to any questions you might have. Accessing this property does require going up 2 stairs from the parking area up to the front porch, front door, and main level of the home. Also, please note that there are two steps down from the dining room to the living room. The garage is not available for parking vehicles. However, free outdoor parking is available directly in front of the garage, for up to 4 vehicles, depending upon their size. The outdoor parking area is 17 feet wide by 33 feet. To put that in perspective, a Ford 150 is less than 18 feet long and less than 7 feet wide. So, you could have two of those side by side and then still have room for two more vehicles that are up to 15 feet long. *Please note: Parking is not allowed on the public road, so please plan accordingly. The roads in Eagle Vail which lead to and from this property are generally flat, easy to navigate and well maintained. However, please note that your route to the area may include a mountain pass. When traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended. Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, RVs and Campers are not allowed.
