Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Idabel Lake is a great destination for the nature lover. You are just steps from the waterfront, and walking and biking trails are minutes away. The Kelowna Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Club is just a 15-minute drive, and Big White Ski Resort is just a 30-minute drive away. There is a launch area for your tin boat.
Haynes Suite is a cozy, suite-style cabin with two bedrooms, two full-sized bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room area with a pull-out couch. Enjoy your morning coffee and evening dinners on the newly constructed lower patio. There is a propane BBQ and two-person hot tub situated on the deck you are welcome to use. Guests are welcome to use the resort games room.
Please note: Access to the home requires going up a flight of stairs, as there is no ramp or ground-level entrance. We want to ensure all our guests are comfortable, so if anyone in your group has mobility concerns, please keep this in mind.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. There is no cell reception at Idabel Lake. Please set up your directions through Google/Apple Maps well prior to turning off Highway 33 to 201 Forestry Road.
2. There is a year-round water advisory as Idabel Lake has many minerals and tannins that slightly discolour the water (most noticeably in the spring). There will be one full jug for the water cooler, but please bring additional if necessary.
3. The closest grocery store is Save-On Foods in Rutland, and the nearest gas station is in Black Mountain if you're driving from Kelowna. If you are driving from Grand Forks/Rock Creek, Beaverdell is your last stop for gas and basic groceries.
4. This listing says Idabel Lake is located in Naramata, but it is about an hour's drive down the 201 Forestry Service Road. This may not be the best fit if you're looking to stay close to the wine trail.
