Jack - At Villager - Pool Resort Dock

Welcome to Jack! Jack is one of two side by side cottages located in the old tourist spot in Burnside KY known as Villager Resort. With the beautiful Lake Cumberland right at your fingertips, private dock access, and a coin operated tram that can take you and all of your belongings down to the dock, we wanted to undergo a total remodel of the cottage. Plus, Burnside Marina is only 1.5 miles away!

Jack, with a classic all American boy theme, is right next to Diane, in an eclectic bohemian theme, so they are perfect for hosting large groups, separate but together!

Jack has an assortment of flea market finds scattered about the space. We focused the decor with the all American boy in mind regardless of the state the were from. A handmade farmhouse style table that can comfortably seat 6, or more, sets in the open space in front of some windows. Cedar accents are located in the bathroom which carries a great smell in a small space. There is a bunk room that houses a twin bunk and a twin over full bunk. The other bedroom has a king bed.For your personal convenience we chose to place a washer/dryer in the cottage for you to use.

The cottage is privately owned by us but housed in an HOA community.There is plenty of parking available as well as space to take a walk. The property also has a pool, tennis court, batting cages, picnic area, bagged ice for purchase on site, fishing and swimming is allowed off the dock, and a charcoal grill that is available to you during your stay.

Be sure to bring your own recreational towels, lifejackets, fishing gear, floats ect.

The cottage was clean with a spacious living area, nicely updated as well. The host was also very responsive. The lake was beautiful and marina was close by. This was a great spot for our family getaway.

Great place!

This property was clean and she was very responsive with any questions we had! Located right on a private dock we were able to pull our pontoon rental right up to pick people and supplies up with ease. Will come back here for sure!

Excellent rental - Great location!

We had a wonderful time staying at Jack! The unit was updated, clean and spacious enough for my daughters family (5) and my husband and I. Unit is well stocked with everything you need. Location is wonderful for children play ground and pool next door and plenty of room for bike riding safely. The boat dock was easy to access. The lake is beautiful!

We always enjoy staging here - it's a great fit for our family of 6 & you can’t beat the location! My only suggestion would be to add a broom to the unit. Floors can get messy quickly with so many people in a small space! We bought & left one last summer, but didn’t see it this year! =) — Thanks for another great Lake Cumberland visit!

Great stay, quiet place

It was an amazing fun time with the family as we stayed here for an extended weekend to work on our family vacation home we are building 10 miles away.. house is well stocked, super clean, very comfortable, lots of towels too... nice hot shower!! We met the villager resort owner where this property is next too, super nice guy, pool is right next door. We have no complaints at all about the JACK, the villager resort could use some gentle loving care, the tram was fun... and you felt safe here and a sense of nostalgia about the surrounding area..thank you for a wonderful stay

Clean and organized

Very clean and organized. We appreciated the little touches like the hand soap pumps at both sinks and brochures for nearby attractions. We also appreciated the bunk beds for our children. It is hard to find a reasonably priced place that accommodates our family of seven. This house was just right for a couple of nights. We did not have much of chance to explore the lake, but look forward to coming back for that!

Beautiful stay

My husband and children came for a family vacation after hearing about the beautiful lake from friends. The house was just as described…beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to feel at home. The resort itself was nice, we enjoyed having the pool next door! The addition of the campfire ring was nice to have for the kids to make smores. We brought out boat and put in at Burnside Island each day. The docks at the resort was nice to have but we didn’t use it due to a lot of debris from a storm before we came. Overall I would come back and bring friends and family as well!

Family Time

We decided to do a mini vacation, my family lives on Cumberland so we thought this would be a perfect way to feel like we were on vacation and spend time with family. Many memories were made, having the boat slip there was great for my BIL and sister to put there boat. Im a little confused why you are charged a 150.00 cleaning fee, you are asked to remove all the bedding and throw a load of towels in the washer, so make sure you bring laundry detergent. However when we arrived there was a load of towels in the dryer that had to be folded, there were 2 xtra blankets in the master bedroom and they smelled heavily of body odor, so i had to wash them, just confused we stay at a lot of VRBO and i have never had to make sure all the bedding was removed or start laundry, just wonder what the 150.00 cleaning fee is used for when the renter is doing a majority of the work, we left the place better then we found it. Over all the area is gorgeous, my grandson loved the pool and game room. vacation and
