Established in 1970, Montara is a captivating piece of paradise surrounded by a panorama of plains, mountains, and vines that takes you back to the old-country charm of Ararat's Gold Rush Days.

The Space:
Montara Views 6 is the ideal accommodation in Ararat set 350 meters above sea level, near Montara Wines offers wines, fresh Neapolitan pizzas, and breathtaking views of the Hopkins River Valley, Mount Langhi Ghiran, and the rolling foothills of the Grampians.

One Tree Hill Lookout and Vines Cafe and Bar are just a few of the nearby attractions in the area. It's a cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) for you to use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please take note that this tiny house is an off-grid unit that runs on solar energy. To avoid power outages, conserve energy during the day and use it only when necessary.

As an added note, please advise that there will be other guests on the property—where five other tiny houses sit on the same property. If you want to book in groups or prefer a house with electric installation, you may contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings, including our cellar door, which is accessible during open hours. Except for the wine factory on the vineyard grounds, which is restricted to approved personnel only.

Please advise that there will be other guests on the property—where three other tiny houses sit on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.

Getting Around:
By car:

- Montara Winery is located just 3km south of the township of Ararat.
- Ararat is located 184km west of Melbourne along the western HWY, which takes approximately 2- 2.5hrs by car.

By public transport:

- V-line trains are available to depart in Spencer Street Station in Melbourne CBD on a regular basis to Ararat

- No smoking allowed on the property
- Currently no fire pit activity (fire ban season)
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Please keep in mind that some areas are shared
- Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone networks have good mobile receptions
- Don't forget to close the windows, and lock the doors when leaving the tiny house
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

Guest Advisory

- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please take note that outdoor fire pits are not available during the fire season
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days

- Keep in mind that outdoor fire pit is not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay
- Guests should refer to the "Safety Handbook" for all applicable safety procedures and protocols when staying at the property.
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
