Nestled on the western shore of Lake Como, amidst the serene village of Pianello del Lario, stood Astounding Villa—a timeless haven that whispered tales of history and luxury. Its Lombard style facade, freshly rejuvenated, exuded an air of elegance that matched the tranquility of its surroundings.

In the early hours of a crisp spring morning, the villa emerged from the mist like a mirage of opulence against the tranquil waters of the lake. The sun, peeking over the distant Alps, cast a golden hue upon its stately architecture and expansive gardens.

Inside, the villa hummed with anticipation. Today marked the arrival of a diverse group drawn to its allure—family members reuniting from distant corners of the globe, a couple preparing for their lakeside wedding, and a yoga retreat seeking solace in its serene embrace. Each room, named after quaint hamlets of Pianello del Lario, bore witness to countless stories woven into its fabric over centuries.

As the day unfolded, the villa's conservatory came alive with the laughter of children chasing each other through its sunlit corridors. In the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of Italian herbs, promising culinary delights that awaited the guests.

On the terrace, overlooking the shimmering lake, a group of friends gathered, their voices carrying snippets of shared memories and plans for the day ahead. Some plotted routes for windsurfing and kite surfing, eager to take advantage of the villa's direct access to the water. Others simply basked in the warmth of the morning sun, content in the tranquility that Astounding Villa effortlessly bestowed upon its visitors.

In the studio, a writer huddled by the fireplace, penning thoughts inspired by the villa's timeless charm. The crackling fire provided the perfect backdrop for creative introspection, where ideas flowed freely amidst the flickering shadows.

Meanwhile, preparations for the evening's wine tasting session were underway in the garden, where tables adorned with local delicacies awaited their guests. The sommelier, a resident expert on regional wines, meticulously arranged glasses and decanters, ready to guide an evening of exploration through Italy's rich viticultural heritage.

As dusk settled over Lake Como, casting a mesmerizing palette of colors across the sky, the villa transformed once more. Lanterns flickered to life along the promenade, casting a gentle glow upon cobblestone paths that led to quaint cafes and bustling trattorias.

The upper floors are 3 in total; the bedrooms are 6 in total all with en-suite bathrooms and Queen size beds.
Each bedroom has a name to help you remember in what room you are located! The names of the bedrooms are the names of the various hamlets of Pianello del Lario.

Reception where your check in will be done
Studio with a sofa, small desk and fireplace, the perfect cosy room to escape and work in peace.

Third floor
bedroom Tre Terre - loft floor with sloping ceilings, balcony with lake view, en suite bathroom with bath tub, there is also another second double bed.

You have access to the full villa, gardens and lake access.
Other things to note
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Check in time is between 3 to 6pm.
It is important that you inform us of your estimated time of arrival a few days in advance by email to: or via vrbo message so we can arrange meet and greet services. For late arrival outside the stipulated hours of 3 to 6pm, we will charge €100 to cover late arrival costs, which is to be paid in cash on arrival.
Check out is prior to 10am.

PASSPORT REGISTRATION
We will request passports of everyone in your group on arrival for passport registration, this is for the local police and tourist stats for the Regione Lombardia.

TOURIST TAX
Please keep in mind that the municipality of Pianello charges a daily tourist tax of €0.50 per person. This amount will be collected in CASH at check in.
