Broken appliances, and in need of repair
Our stay started out ok. The pool had just been chemically treated (which should have been done days before, not the day of the booking). We were in town for a wedding, and my husband's mom joined us to look after our kids. We booked a Vrbo instead of a hotel so that we could prepare our own meals as we have a child with severe food allergies. To make it easier for my mother in law, I prepared an uncooked lasagna for her to put in the oven the night of the wedding. The oven would not heat over 300F when she tried to cook the dinner, and she ended up having to take the kids to a restaurant. This was extremely stressful for her, and put needless risk on our child. I tested the oven the next morning and photo documented the issue. A glitch with the Vrbo system meant that she did not receive my email - and then she denied there being anything wrong when Vrbo contacted her. In addition, 3 of the fridge door bins were broken, the finish on several cabinets is peeling off. There were no functioning lights in the master bedroom when the light switch was flipped (sconces had no light bulbs), closet doors were missing handles, the patio screen door had holes in the screen, and there was a used bandaid on the pool deck. Other issues have not been listed... Attention to these details is needed to match the quality that she claims for her listing. The only bonus, was once the water in the pool cleared, the kids had fun.
