Take a leisurely stroll along the scenic York River to observe the boats coming in and out or set out for adventure on a charter fishing trip in hopes of reeling in the catch of the day. The iconic Cape Neddick Nubble Lighthouse, a short 15-minute drive north, stands proudly atop a rocky outcrop, offering picture-perfect moments to capture the glittering sunrise or sunset. The York Village Historic District is home to a number of well-preserved 18th- and 19th-century buildings, including the oldest jail in Maine. For the nature lovers, there are a number of hiking trails in the area, including the Mount Agamenticus Trail which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
