Whether you’re after a romantic weekend away, an escape with friends or catching one of the many concerts the Hunter Valley is now famous for, Madigan has a cottage to suit.
Originally built as the owner’s house, The Homestead is perfect for large groups and families.
The Homestead was originally built as the owner's residence and is ideal for accommodating large groups and families. It can comfortably sleep up to 12 people, with 3 queen bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, and a 5th bedroom featuring a queen bed and 2 single beds. Quality linen is provided for guests' comfort. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and streaming-enabled TVs. The spacious kitchen/dining area is perfect for communal meals, and there is an additional lounge room for relaxation. Furthermore, guests can unwind with a pool table and use the gas BBQ for outdoor cooking.

Additional beds can be booked by contacting the managers.
The Homestead is free standing, self contained house. There is a large area around to kick a ball, go on a nature walk to see kangaroos, rabbits and lots of bird life. You can see the horses agisting in the paddock next to The Homestead.
There are also seats on the dam which are lovely to sit on as you watch the sunset.
Madigan is a self-check-in property with a check-in time after 3pm. After booking, details of the check-in process will be sent to you. We always strive to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests, so please inform us if you plan to arrive earlier than the set check-in time.
Madigan Cottages has 5 self contained cottages on 100 wide open acres. We also have Stomp! Wine operating their cellar door on site. You'll find lot of nature including kangaroos and rabbits as well as waterbirds on our dams. We have some paddocks with agisted horses - to look at not touch :)
You'll need a car to get around Hunter Valley, however, there are small bus operators that service the wine region and are happy to drop into Madigan to pick you up
There is lots of land to walk, ride or just sit on your verandah or the dam wall to read a book or watch the sunset.
Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
By booking with us you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in our Rental Policy and agree to follow our HOUSE RULES:
- No pets
- No smoking anywhere inside the property
- Report any breakages or damage
- Check-out by your agreed time
- Respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum after 10pm
- Follow our STRICT NO PARTY POLICY.

Breaking these rules may result in charges being incurred as detailed in our terms and conditions. If you respect the property as you would your own home, you can relax and enjoy your stay.
