Beautiful self-contained mud brick studio in an enclosed courtyard with a pretty cottage garden on a working farm. Unique country getaway for a couple with a comfortable king size bed with an electric blanket, large screen smart TV, wifi, kitchen and bathroom. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is a DVD player with an extensive DVD collection, games, jigsaws and books. There is also a table tennis table and some lawn games including bocce and finska. The bathroom is adjacent to the studio and has a separate entrance. Please note that there may be frogs in the bathroom from time to time so please take this into consideration before you book.
There are many places to relax in the garden which has a frog pond with a fountain and many different species of birds including white breasted robins, honey eaters, red winged wrens and splendid wrens. There are several rocking chairs, two outdoor settings and a firepit next to the lawn which is a lovely place to unwind and watch the sun set on the marri trees in the evening. Both the courtyard and the patio area near the firepit have festoon lighting which provides a nice ambience.
The studio is named for my mother, well known local watercolour artist, Patricia Negus as it used to be her art studio. The main residence will occasionally be occupied by the owner but it shouldn't impact your stay in the studio. Dogs are welcome but there is an additional pet fee. We are very well located only about ten minutes from Witchcliffe or Margaret River. Witchcliffe is a delightful little town to visit with lots of interesting shops and eating places.
There is another house on the property, a weatherboard settlers cottage called Swallows Cottage that sleeps 7 people and is also available to book on Stayz.
