This spacious three bedroom (sleeps 10), two bathroom, newly furnished and decorated two-story cottage is tucked away in a large picturesque wooden lot that offers privacy, quiet, and endless spaces to relax and enjoy nature, just a short ten minute stroll from the beach!
Spend your days at the private deeded Port Franks beach (less than a ten minute stroll) enjoying Lake Huron, hike or bike the trails, view wildlife at the wetlands, or relax with a good book while the kids play yard games. For a change of pace, drive to the pinery (10 minutes), Grand Bend (15 minutes), or enjoy the many local golf courses (10-20 minutes).
Don’t forget to catch the beautiful sunsets this area is famous for from one of the property’s balconies with a glass of wine, then enjoy smores by the fire pit before you retire to your fun nature-themed rooms.
The main floor is a cozy retreat for quality family or friend time. Kick back and watch Netflix or cable on the oversized couch (which converts into an extra-large sleeping area) or snuggle by the wood burning fireplace while the kids play board games in the game table nook. The kids will love having the ultimate sleepover with siblings, cousins or friends in the Treehouse room, which offers a bunk bed with trundle (twin XL (2) over full) and single pilot bed. The main bathroom includes a shower and ample storage, and the laundry room leads out to a secondary entrance, which is ideal for washing those sandy bathing suits after long days at the beach.
The second floor feels more like a parents’ sanctuary with sky lights and oversized windows offering natural light and views that bring nature inside. The sitting room provides a stunning autumn forest feature wall mural and six bay windows. The large kitchen and dining area is ideal for family gatherings or playing board games in the evening without waking the kids on the level below. The second floor full bathroom includes a shower and bath as well as a ton of closet space for guests. Choose from the wetland or beach themed second-floor bedrooms to feel immersed in local naturescapes, both include large closets, and new furniture. Enjoy a slow morning coffee (or mimosa, we won’t judge) before your day at the beach from the balcony off the beach room (which has a glider), sitting room, back deck or the hanging swing chairs at the front of the house.
