This smart 2-bedroom apartment is on the City's doorstep, a 5-minute stroll from the Canberra Centre retail and dining precinct, beautiful Glebe Park, and the hip enclave of Braddon (known for its coffee, food, and shopping). You'll be close to hatted restaurants, funky cafes, single-origin roasters, breweries, bars and killer shopping. Great for singles, couples, business travellers, and small families.
Families will appreciate the well-appointed kitchen with European appliances. We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays.
Enjoy the Nespresso coffee machine and laptop nook.
Delight in the simple pleasure of a pot of tea on our balcony, overlooking the beautifully maintained courtyard gardens. I provide a basic selection of food for breakfast, including muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to stock food items for longer stays.
It is also important to note that there is a construction ongoing nearby and potentially some noise. If you are a light-sleeper or someone who wants to sleep in a lot, you might want to bring earphones for your stay.

Within walking distance of our place you can enjoy the following:
1. AINSLIE + GORMAN CENTRES: Arts precincts in stunningly preserved examples of Garden Pavilion and Art Deco architectural style.
2. DINE: There is no shortage of fantastic places to eat in our 'hood. Our favourites within walking distance include eightysix; Italian & Sons; Akiba and Sage Dining Rooms.
3. EAT: For something more casual, try Pizza Gusto for perfectly simple wood-fired pizzas; great coffee and whole food breakfasts and lunches at 80/20; or Grease Monkey for oh-so-bad-but-good burgers & fried chicken.
4. DRINK: All within stumbling distance, try Mint Garden Bar (spring/summer only); Bacaro Wine Bar; BentSpoke Brewing Co; Debacle; or Knightsbridge Penthouse.
5. THE HAMLET: Ok, this is cheating because you've already eaten and drunken yourself silly, but do yourself a favour and get down to the Hamlet for an ever-changing smorgasbord of ethnic street food (think pho, churros, bratwurst, Peruvian chanchitos, and of course American-style hotdogs, waffles & donuts). Wash it all down with a Zierholz pale ale or a Vietnamese coffee and hit the stylish pop-up shops selling jewellery, art, fashion and homewares from local designers.
6. Did someone say SHOPPING? Don't forget your wallet while you're on Lonsdale Street - check out Handsomepretty for home wares, small furniture and gifts; Rebel Muse for women's fashion; Lellow for beautiful children's clothes, toys and gifts; Peachy Keen for shoes and accessories. Or pop into the Canberra Centre for a wide range of premium retail outlets including David Jones, Myer, Country Road, Zara, Seed Heritage, Sass & Bide, Aesop, Mecca Cosmetica, etc.
7. CAFFEINE (or not): Surely you need a coffee by now. Or an almond-milk turmeric latte. Whatever. Try Lonsdale Street Roasters, Barrio Collective, Coffee Lab, or Eighty/Twenty.
8. YOGA: Namaste, friends, Namaste. If you are feeling like resetting the switches after all that fun and indulgence, try Flourish Yoga for a range of styles including Beginners', Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Ashtanga, Mums' & Bubs', and Kids'. Casual visits welcome.
9. THE LAKE: On foot, by bicycle or Segway (both available for hire), any way you do it, the scenic 5km loop between Commonwealth Avenue and Kings Avenue bridges ("Bridge-to-Bridge", as the locals call it) is a stunning way to burn off some of your indulgences.
10. THE CLASSICS: As you round Lake Burley Griffin, you'll take in some iconic Canberra sights such as the War Memorial; The National Library of Australia; Questacon; The High Court of Australia; The National Gallery of Australia; The National Portrait Gallery; and the National Carillon. They are iconic for a reason - pick one or two and explore them thoroughly!
Ride with Action Buses - there are bus stops right outside our place on Ainslie Avenue. Plan your trip at ACT Transport's handy 'Plan Your Trip' webpage.
Canberra can be pretty cold in our winter months and our heater is energy efficient which means it can take some time to heat up! Please make sure that the switch on the wall labeled ‘heat’ is turned on and you turn the knob on the heater to the desired heat setting (0-5). It may take a few hours to reach the desired setting!
