About the home
“The Happy Place” is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just a short walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The front Verandah provides entrance into the Living Room (with 39" smart TV, DVD player & electric fireplace) flows through to the open plan Kitchen/Dining Room and provides access to Bedroom 2. The Garage has been converted into a Games Room (with TV & small pool table/fuzbol/hockey table) and has internal access to the Dining Room. A central hallway leads to Bedroom 1, a Laundry (with washing machine & direct external access), a separate Toilet and the Bathroom (with shower).
Outdoor Areas
The front covered Verandah (with 2 chairs & a small table) overlooks the lovely front yard, while the rear covered Patio has views to the rear yard. There is a gas BBQ and 6 chairs & a table to use in the rear yard (all stored in the Garage). The Garage has been converted into a Games Room (with TV & small pool table/fuzbol/hockey table) together with a plug in RetroDrive games station, so there is space to park 1 car in front of the driveway, and additional parking on the street.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a sink, fridge, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the Living Room, plus two additional stand-alone fans and three heaters which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 3 beds, and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 5 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Double bed and one Single bed
There is also a fold out Double divan/sofa in the Living Room.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
