Wherewithal Luxury Suites are two exquisite luxury guest Suites in Carlton River, on the cusp of wild Tasmania. A haven of comfort and beauty, this idyllic retreat allows guests to truly immerse themselves in natural beauty.
Suite West evokes a night on the sea, its rich, deep interior palette with touches of brightness reminiscent of moonlight reflecting off foaming waves. Guests will enjoy the spectacular ocean views west across Tiger Head Bay to kunanyi (Mount Wellington), and sparkling sandstone cliffs in the distance.
Accented with locally sourced timber, and nestled in a tasteful native landscape, Wherewithal Luxury Suites elegantly reflect their luxurious yet uniquely rural Tasmanian charm. Inside, guests are greeted with a sense of warmth and sophistication, where high ceilings and tasteful artworks add to the ambiance. Plush designer furniture invites guests to relax in front of a cozy flame fireplace, and underfloor heating throughout keeps guests comfortable on the frostiest Tasmanian winter nights. After sunset, on a clear night, guests can gaze upon a galaxy of stars untainted by light pollution.
Wherewithal is the region’s only luxury accommodation designed specifically with couples in mind. This intimate and romantic escape features king-sized beds (appointed with quality mattresses and linens), and marble bathrooms containing twin showers, each separately controlled. Each Suite’s terrace has dining space for two, as well as a spacious bathtub for couples to comfortably relax in and drink in the sunset views.
For in-room entertainment, in addition to free high speed wifi, integrated smart home features allow for music and radio to play throughout the Suites, and the blinds covering the vast windows in the living space double as a projector screen, transforming the space into guests’ private cinema. Each Suite is connected to ad-free music, radio, film and television steaming services.
Each Suite has its own private lawn, from which guests can follow a winding path to an outdoor fire area, and explore the gardens and wilderness beyond. Nestled at the foot of Steele’s Hill, more adventurous guests are encouraged to hike up to its plateau for a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside and Bruny Island in the distance.
Each Suite boasts a full kitchen, with contemporary appliances and ample space for guests to prepare meals (or hire a local private chef). A barbeque is available for guests who prefer to cook on the terrace or in the garden in the warmer months.
