Enjoy your next Dunsborough holiday at this neat beachside home tucked down a quiet residential street. “Mint Haus’ has been thoughtfully styled throughout, to provide a comfortable and entertaining place for guests to enjoy.
The three bedrooms comprise a master with queen bed, and direct access to the main bathroom; a second queen bedroom; and a twin single bedroom with a desk. All bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes, ceiling fans and plantation shutters. The main bathroom has a corner bath/shower, vanity and separate WC. The second bathroom comprises a shower room and separate WC off the laundry, with a sink and medicine cabinet to complete the bathroom facilities. The laundry has a washer/dryer, iron & ironing board, airer & washing line.
The open plan kitchenette, dining area and lounge is light and airy, making for a great space to spend plenty of quality time eating, drinking and relaxing. The kitchenette does not have any built-in appliances, but cooking up a storm is still more than possible, thanks to an array of counter-top options, including a convection oven/microwave, single ring induction cooker, electric frying pan, air fryer and rice cooker, alongside a full-size fridge/freezer and pod coffee machine.
The large dining table is great for family meal times and directly opposite the kitchenette. Also in the living area is a 3-seater and 3.5-seater couch with plenty of room to stretch out and relax while you enjoy catching up on your favourite shows on the smart TV or some gourmet delights and a bottle of vino from one of our local wineries. In the winter months when the weather cools down the wood fire also provides great warmth and a beautiful cosiness.
The “rumpus” room at the front of the house, features a pool table, 3-seater couch and cosy day bed for relaxing after a day out exploring the South West.
In the warmer weather enjoy a BBQ and outdoor dining on one of the two tables provided, out in the fresh ocean air or a game of Bocce on the lawn.
This property really does have everything you need for a fantastic holiday. With the beach just a short 2-minute walk from the back door, Mint Haus won’t disappoint!
The Neighborhood:
Quindalup is a quiet neighbourhood on the East side of Dunsborough, away from the buzz of town but still within easy reaching distance. The beachfront here is all soft powdery white sand and clear, aquamarine waters - absolute bliss. It is the perfect spot for fishing, all water sports, or just a refreshing dip.
Dunsborough is the jewel of the South West region, located on the beautiful shores of Geographe Bay. At low tide, the beach has shallow, clear waters, perfect for kids to play and splash around safely, and on a nice day you will find happy groups of visitors and locals alike paddling, floating, fishing and boating in the serene waters of the bay. Just outside of town there are some more secluded beaches, like Curtis Bay and Meelup.
Dunsborough is home to many lovely local boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, and provides a hub for everyone to enjoy good shopping, food and entertainment. A laidback coastal town with a lovely community feel, it experiences a large swell in population during high season, yet you would be amazed how peaceful holidaying here can still be, thanks to beautiful surrounding bush, leafy suburbs and long stretches of pristine beach.
It's not just about summer here, despite its popularity thanks to the glorious weather; all year round, even when we may be less blessed with warm days and sunny skies, visitors can enjoy hikes, biking, surfing, off-roading, horse riding, cave tours, water sports, fishing, wine and beer tasting, and generally eating and drinking one's way around the area! Visit in spring to catch the whale migration and wild flower season, or in autumn to enjoy quieter beaches and excellent surf.
Please see the Guidebook for our personal recommendations on where to eat, drink, shop and what to see & do in this fabulous region. This list is by no means exhaustive, however, so please get in touch if you need any pointers ahead of your stay.
The Margaret River Wine Region is one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Considered a “boutique” region, production is relatively small and quality-focused. The unique microclimates and fabulous soils here mean that producers are able to make some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a host of other single varietal and blend wines; most wineries will have a good selection of options, including various sparkling wines, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz if the flagship varieties aren’t your cup of tea. Many of these wineries are also home to phenomenal restaurants, and your dining options will range from full tasting menus to casual pizzas or grazing boards. If you have any particular restaurant on your wish list, we strongly recommend booking ahead all year round. In peak summer season (December-February), bookings are essential and may need to be made several weeks or months in advance. Please contact us directly if you would like tailored recommendations for your self-guided winery and/or brewery tour. If you have time, we highly recommend buying a ticket onto one of the many locally operated winery and brewery tour buses, for an unforgettable day out of excellent food and drink.
Getting Around:
Dunsborough has a number of walking and bike paths, meaning that it is very easy to get around on foot and any wheels of your choice. We are fortunate to have a couple of local businesses offering bike hire, and Dunsborough has recently been included in an e-scooter initiative. Mint Haus is just a stone's throw to the beach, and a 10 minute bike/5 minute scooter ride into town, so no need to hop in the car if you want to stay local. Visitors wishing to explore the surrounding area will need a car.

All linen is provided (excl. beach towels). All of our accommodation is fully self-catered, and as a courtesy we provide a basic starter pack for each stay, including: soap, toilet rolls, tea, coffee & sugar, basic cleaning products, and some cooking essentials (oil, salt & pepper).
