Hi there! We're Betty Robey and Sherry Gustafson, the owners of Saltwater Grande. Together, we have over 30 years of experience in the real estate and property management industries, as well as an eye for design.

We had a dream to create beautiful, high-end spaces where our guests could feel at home and enjoy a relaxing beach vacation, so we sat down at Betty's kitchen counter and developed our business plan. We came up with a name for our business, a logo, a mission statement, and all the things we needed to get started. Our dream turned into reality when Saltwater Grande opened in June of 2019.

Our office, located in Myrtle Beach, employs around 30 awesome people, including cleaners, inspectors, maintenance technicians, Realtors, and support staff, who have all helped us to grow and live up to the standard of excellence we set for our properties and the experience we provide our guests.

Working with our long-time contractors, we use high-quality materials, fixtures, and furnishings to create spaces that are unique, comfortable, and that will fit the needs of families, groups of friends, and couples looking to get away from home and make lifelong memories with a fun, relaxing, luxurious beach vacation. We take a proactive approach to maintenance so that when you stay in a Saltwater Grande property, you don't have to worry so much about things breaking down and having maintenance technicians coming and going. We take great pride in the cleanliness of our beach homes, with very high standards that our cleaners and inspectors are required to meet. We take a very hands-on approach ourselves, as well, doing whatever is necessary to ensure our properties stay in the best possible condition.

When we're not in the office or in the field working to give you the best vacation ever, we're enjoying the simple things in life.

Betty has been married to her best friend, Gary for almost 30 years. They moved to the Grand Strand from the Washington, D.C. area in 2014. Their adult children and their grandchildren still live in the cold, but come to visit when they can break away from work and school. They have a sweet, spoiled Chiweenie, Bella, who makes them laugh regularly! Betty and Gary spend a great deal of time with friends and family, and often enjoy a round of golf!

Sherry was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and moved to coastal South Carolina when she was 20 years old. She and her husband, Bruce, married in July of 2020, and have two teenage children – a daughter who plays volleyball and guitar, and a son who plays high school football. They also have two Labrador retrievers – Drake, a chocolate lab, and Luke, a yellow lab. Sherry and Bruce's kids keep them on the go all the time, but when they have free time, they enjoy fishing and being outdoors, a good concert, a quiet evening by the fire, and spending time with friends and family!
