Located just off Kings Highway on the way to the South Coast, making us an ideal stop on your way to Bateman's Bay! Only 36 minutes from the heart of Canberra and all the exciting Canberra Events.

The Space:
Red Gum at Aranya Acres by Tiny Away sits near a small town called Bungendore, Southern Harvest Region. Close to Le Tres Bon, The Carrington, Lark Hill Winery, Contentious Character, and Bungendore Woodworks are just a few of the attractions in the area.

Stay just a short trip from Canberra’s top CANBERRA EVENTS in 2025, including the Women’s Ashes T20 (23 Jan), Canberra Festival of Speed (25-26 Jan), National Multicultural Festival (7-9 Feb), Canberra Balloon Spectacular (15-23 Mar), and Craft Beer & Cider Festival (15 Mar).

A sprawling, sloping garden and lawns with gravel driveways lead to this tiny home. This 139-square-foot farm stay comes with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities (e.g., an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower).

SPA TUB can be used without fire but there is a surcharge still as it uses 200L of water. The Spa Tub is a $88 one-time fee to clean and refill the tub with clean water with a firewood pack for $25 each (Firewood, Kindling, Matches, Firelighters & Firebrick).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Blue Gum," available with 24 hours' notice in advance. As an added note, the tiny house is approx. 150 meters away from the main house and not visible from each other.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas.

Guests, however, will have restricted access to the land host's private residence. If you require assistance, please contact your host via text or call to respect the host's privacy.

Red Gum at Aranya Acres by Tiny Away is just 8 minutes from the small town in Bungendore at the centre of the Southern Harvest Region. Halfway between Canberra and Bateman's Bay, which is an hour away, and historic Braidwood township, which is only 37 minutes away.

Getting Around:
By car:

- 10 minutes from Bungendore
- 30 minutes from airport and 40 minutes from parliament

By public transport:

- Taxi is available from town to our property 10 minutes away.
- There is a bus and a train that can take you to Bungendore Town from Canberra. Large train station with many rural stop going from central (Sydney) to Canberra.

Other Things to Note:
- No smoking allowed on the property
- Telstra, Optus, & Vodafone have good signal
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have a flock of sheep to naturally mow the lawn in the paddock
- We also have a studio near the tennis court that is currently rented out
- Pets are not allowed on beds and guests must clean after pet’s droppings and shedding
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays, or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- Brita Water Filtered Jug is provided
- Coffee machine available. The coffee pod provided for free
- BBQ gas grill provided upon request. One full-cylinder gas costs $25.
- Firewood costs $24.95 per one bag (Seasoned Wood, Kindling, Firebrick, Firelighters, Firelighter Liquid & Long Safety Matches)

We have been advised by the local fire service that it can be used during the year except for certain days when a total fire ban is in place. One week advance prior to your booking

Guest Advisory

- Remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- Given the rural setting, children and pets are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION. Please exercise caution along bushland areas and waterways.

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is in bushland (or grassland) areas
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
