Der Raum ist eine neu renovierte englische Keller-Suite im Erdgeschoss unseres Hauses, mit einem eigenen Eingang und einer eigenen hinteren Terrasse. Obwohl VRBO für uns noch relativ neu ist, sind wir erfahrene Gastgeber und haben auf einer anderen Plattform hervorragende Bewertungen. Tolle Lage, einen Block von der Eastern Market Metro und einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Capitol entfernt. Tastatureingabe für einfaches Einchecken. Ausstattung für Geschäftsreisende und Urlauber, einschließlich Kaffee, Tee, Seife, Shampoo / Conditioner, WLAN, Waschmaschine / Trockner usw. Tolle Nachbarschaft für Kinder. Alle Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt. Weitere Details unten.

Eintritt - Es gibt ein paar Stufen, um die Wohnung zu betreten. Die Eingangstür ist mit einem schlüssellosen Schloss ausgestattet. Der Code wird einige Tage vor dem Check-in bereitgestellt.

Schlafzimmer - Das separate Schlafzimmer befindet sich im hinteren Teil der Suite und verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, einen Schrank, eine Kommode und einen Nachttisch. Viele Kissen, zusätzliche Laken und Bettdecken. In der Kommode gibt es einen Handwäschedampfer und im Schrank ein Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett. Der Zugang zur privaten Terrasse, die ausschließlich Ihnen zur Verfügung steht, erfolgt über das Schlafzimmer.

Badezimmer - begehbare Dusche (keine Badewanne). Wir versorgen unsere Gäste mit Avalon Organics Lavendel Shampoo, Conditioner und Duschgel. Wir haben auch einen Haartrockner und eine kleine Auswahl anderer Toilettenartikel, wie Handseife, Zahnbürsten, Zahnpasta, Feuchtigkeitscreme und Rasierer. Viele Handtücher. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie das Bad über das Schlafzimmer erreichen.

Wohnzimmer - Komfortables Queensize-Schlafsofa von Room and Board; Wet Bar (siehe Beschreibung unten); 32-Zoll Fernseher mit Netflix, Kabelkanälen; kleiner Esstisch und Stühle; Wandschrank.

Wet Bar - Bitte beachten Sie, dass unsere Suite keine voll ausgestattete Küche hat (kein Herd oder Ofen), aber wir haben einen neuen kleinen Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, neuen Toaster, Geschirrspüler, neuen Nespresso VertuoLine-Kaffee und eine Espressomaschine (mit Kaffeepads) - toll Kaffee!), neuer DeLonghi Wasserkocher, French Press und Teller / Tassen / Gläser / Besteck / etc. Wir haben einen Gasgrill im Hinterhof für Ihre ausschließliche Verwendung. Wir haben eine kleine Auswahl an Snacks und Getränken für Sie bereit. Und natürlich gibt es viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe!

Zusätzliche Annehmlichkeiten - In der Suite gibt es auch eine neue Waschmaschine und einen neuen Trockner mit Reinigungsmittel. Wifi im gesamten Raum zur Verfügung. Der Raum verfügt über separate Klimaanlage und Heizung, mit Fernbedienung Zugang von der Einheit. Wir haben Sonnenschirme, die Sie während Ihres Aufenthalts ausleihen können. Und eine Yogamatte!

Hintere Terrasse - Sie haben exklusiven Zugang zur hinteren Terrasse, die mit einem Tisch und Stühlen sowie einem Gasgrill ausgestattet ist.

Die Nachbarschaft - Unser Haus befindet sich im Herzen des Capitol Hill. Es liegt in einer von Bäumen gesäumten Straße, zwei Blocks von den Restaurants und Geschäften der Barracks Row in der 8th Street entfernt. Nach einem kurzen Spaziergang erreichen Sie den Eastern Market, auf dem an Wochenenden und Dienstagen ein Bauernmarkt im Freien stattfindet. Restaurants an der Pennsylvania Avenue sind nur wenige Blocks entfernt. Das US Capitol, der Supreme Court und andere Regierungsgebäude sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir sind einen Block von der U-Bahn-Station Eastern Market und eine kurze Zugfahrt von den Attraktionen der National Mall entfernt, darunter das Luft- und Raumfahrtmuseum, das Naturkundemuseum, das Washington Monument und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wenn Sie Fahrrad fahren möchten, finden Sie einen Block entfernt am Eastern Market einen Capitol Bikeshare-Gepäckträger.

Ankunft / Check-In - Wir haben ein schlüsselloses Schloss und teilen Ihnen den Code einige Tage vor Ankunft mit. Der Check-In ist jederzeit nach 15:00 Uhr und der Check-Out bis 12:00 Uhr möglich. Wenn Sie früh anreisen oder spät abreisen, können Sie Ihr Gepäck in unserem Abstellraum aufbewahren. Bitte geben Sie uns bei der Buchung Bescheid, und wir werden die Vorkehrungen treffen.

Bitte beachten Sie - Wir leben im Obergeschoss mit zwei kleinen Kindern. Obwohl die Kinder normalerweise um 20:30 Uhr schlafen, werden Sie uns morgens und abends während der Woche und am Wochenende während des Tages oben hören. Wir haben auch zwei Katzen im Obergeschoss, aber sie sind nie in der Suite. Keine großen Gruppen oder Partys. Rauchverbot auf dem Gelände.

A Gem in Capitol Hill

This accommodation is excellent. The living space has all you need including a well stocked kitchen area - fridge, washing machine, dryer and dish washer. The space is cool on the hot days we experienced and warm when the weather is a little wet. The bed is comfortable and big enough to sprawl out, the amount of bedding was great. there is plenty of storage space for all your clothes and more. The bathroom is well stocked with product and has a great shower and is also a very good size. The area is great, there are nearby and plentiful food outlets, parks to sit in and interesting trails to follow. The Metro is very close and is a cheap and reliable way of getting around the city. Washington is a great city, clean, friendly and with places to visit coming out of its ears. We recommend Georgetown, especially taking a boat trip on the Potomac.

The property is great. Very clean, comfortable and in a convenient location. The owner was awesome too. Easy to communicate with and even offered early checkin and late check out since the property wasn’t booked before or after us. He also went out of his way to assist me with what I thought was a parking ticket but ended up being a ticket for a missing registration sticker on my license plate. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great accomodations

We stayed 4 nights here with our family of 5. It was a wonderful stay!! The location is excellent, in one of the beautiful homes in Capitol Hill. The neighborhood is very walkable, and we found some great places to eat and a park for the kids to play in within just a few blocks. My husband likes to run, and from the location he was able to run to the Capitol, the White House, and the Washington Monument. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and was a welcoming place to come “home” to at the end of a busy day exploring. Jim was super easy to get a hold of, and responded immediately anytime we needed him. If we ever make it back to DC, I would definitely stay here again!!

Not clean, old pack n play, loud

My husband and I had our 6 month old daughter as well as my friend when we stayed. The property managers were very friendly and responded quickly to questions, including a question abput the price breakdown when there was some confusion on our part. The property got the job done, but we would not likely stay here again. After booking we asked if we could add another night to our stay and they accommodated us, stating that check in might be a little later than normal because they clean thoroughly between guests and like to have a whole day between guests to do so. That was fine with us, we definitely wanted a clean property. The sink, coffee table and counter surfaces were somewhat dirty (not filthy). There was a fabric shower curtain and there was mold along the bottom 6 inches of it. One of the bath towels smelled spoiled, like it had sit in the washer too long before being put in the dryer. There was a long hair on a different (clean smelling) bath towel. The extra set of sheets on the shelf for the sofa bed had a dryer sheet folded into it with hair wrapped around it. The sofa bed seemed old and greasy, the box springs seemed like it was falling apart, although it did air up and stayed that way for 3 nights. The water pressure in the shower was low. It seemed like it took quite a while to get hot water in bathroom or kitchen. The footsteps (children running possibly?) heard from the floor above seemed very loud and woke up my daughter in the beginning of her night and in the early morning. The pack n play seems old and worn out. The mattress pad has a lump in it and if you press down slightly the pad touches the floor. My daughter usually sleeps through the night, she woke up every 2 hrs for the first 2 nights. I finally put her in bed with me for the last night and she slept soundly. It may have just been a different location and bed, but I really wondered if she was just uncomfortable. The floor and doors squeak, I really wonder if it would even bother anyone that doesn't have a baby, but it woke her up multiple times. Our bed was fine. The keyless entry was nice, one less thing to worry about. Location is great.

Short getaway

This is the 2nd time staying at this sweet location! It is close to the Eastern Market Metro stop and has many restaurants close by, but on a lovely quiet street! You would never know you were in a busy 24/7 city! Apartment has all you need with a comfortable queen bed! It is very clean and communication with owner is easy! Pictures don’t do it justice!

Jim was quick with responses & very accommodating! Bed was comfortable. They have stocked the apartment with many things that you don’t get in others! They had coffee, tea, snacks, some drinks & amazing bath products! Easy walk to the metro or buses! Even though we didn’t need them, they have a parking pass & metro cards(you load money) for your use! We would stay here again!

Comfortable and Convenient

Love this basement apartment! It contains all that's needed for a comfortable stay in DC, including a heating and a/c unit that works beautifully. The owners provide plenty of amenities for the guests, including teabags, coffee, and plenty of alternate ways to prepare the beverage (I'm particularly fond of the French press). Furnishings provide all the comforts of home, and the bathroom has a wonderful shower and enough towels for an army. It's a 5-minute walk to the Metro stop and the bus line, and there are lots of local restaurants, a Trader Joe's and a Starbucks. This is my second time at this apartment, and I hope to return again in the future.

Great location with awesome amenities!

Clean, charming and comfortable on a beautiful street in a great location. The apartment was loaded with tons of goodies, snacks and any toiletries you could have forgotten. Bed and linens were comfortable and definitely felt like a home away from home. Location is perfect on a beautiful tree lined street, in a safe area of town one block from the Metro. Tons of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance as well as a Trader Joe’s. It was the perfect spot and we will definitely book again. Thanks!

On our next trip to DC, this apt will be our first choice for lodging. The location couldn’t be better – one block to the Metro; only a few blocks to Eastern Market; and many great restaurants nearby. The hosts were very flexible and accommodating. Their communication with us was excellent and they were very responsive in quickly resolving a minor issue for us. The unit is well stocked with lots of extras and has thorough instructions for operating all included appliances. This has been one of our best VRBO experiences.

Wonderful Family Spot Convenient to Metro

My family had a wonderful experience staying here! Jim was great and answered all of our questions, being quick to respond. It Felt like Home!

We truly enjoyed our stay in your apartment as soon as we opened the door it felt like home. A very relaxed feel and great sunlight for a garden level apartment. Location was ideal. A one block walk to the Eastern Market Metro Station and Trader Joe’s and dozens of restaurants and shops and a thirty minute metro ride to virtually anywhere else you might want to go. Excellent for a family of 4 and perfect location

Our family was very pleased with our Washington DC vacation in this unit. The owners communication was outstanding and made sure that everything was set before we arrived. Some Positives: 1. Eastern Market subway station can be seen from the front door-very convenient. 2. 0.7 miles to Capital Building--we walked or jogged to and around the mall everyday. 3. The unit was very clean and loved the complimentary goodies (sparking water, chocolate, granola bars, coffee, etc.). The owners showed great attention to detail by adding little extra things (soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and goodies) 4. I have 2 daughters and was never concerned with safety when walking around the area even at night. There is a police station 1 block away. 5. Excellent selection of restaurants within 10 minutes of walking with many having kid friendly menus and atmospheres 6. I was worried about finding parking near the unit but had absolutely no problem when arriving. I would recommend arriving before even rush hour to insure a close spot; however you can always move it closer the next morning when folks go to work. Some Negatives: 1. Though is was not a problem for us since we had planned to eat out for dinner, but be aware that there is no stove or oven.

Awesome space and great location!

My family spent spring break exploring DC and were thrilled when we arrived and entered this flat. It is laid out perfect with plenty of room and had everything we needed (2 teenage boys even approved). We are big coffee and tea drinkers so it was nice to have it available, and my teens really enjoyed the Kind Bars (I don't think I got one). The location, wow! Great neighborhood, one block from Metro which we used daily, short walk to restaurants galore, short walk down to navy yard and ball park area which has even more resaurants, you never need to drive, catch a cab or even uber. Another great thing for me was plenty of close by areas to safely run in the mornings. Thanks for a great spring break!

Cozy apartment in great location!

Spent 2 nights here with our 4 year old. This was a perfect location---so close to great food, parks, markets, grocery store (Trader Joes!) and the metro. The apartment itself is cozy and has all the right amenities. I also appreciated the accessibility of the owners and felt that if we ever needed anything, it was a text or call away.
