Lago Mac - dog friendly lake house with great sunsets
Lago Mac is a family friendly, dog friendly casual lake house with 4 upstairs bedrooms offering sleeping for up to 8 adults or children. Has a full size kitchen, undercover Gas BBQ, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, a large covered garage , and a level fenced backyard that is only steps away from the shallow sandy shoreline of Lake Macquarie.
The space
Lago Mac is a warm, spacious lake house. Its suited to a fun filled holiday with family and other families. Enjoy eating around the oversized kitchen table with its mismatched chairs. You wont find the best china, or crystal glasses, but you will leave with great memories of our special place. There is no WiFi as we like to use our holiday time as a chance to return to a simpler time of enjoyable meals with friends, games and books in the evenings, and outdoor pursuits during the day, followed by restful sleep. There is however good mobile reception for smart phones and tablets if you must be in contact.
Well behaved dogs (and their owners) are welcomed however your booking message must detail the breed, age, and number of dogs. There will be an additional $20 per stay cleaning charge added per dog, and any damage caused is the owners responsibility and paid for. We may choose to pass on your reservation request if the dogs will not suit the location. Please see and agree to "house rules" prior to booking.
House layout:
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, living / kitchen, large bathroom and separate toilet. A balcony from the living area overlooks the fully fenced back yard and across a small expanse of grassed waterfront reserve to the waters edge. Downstairs there is a TV room leading into a large garage. There is access from the garage to a laundry, and separate toilet and shower. The garage has 2 rolladoor entry points; from the front driveway and from the backyard. In addition to the front driveway and garage there is also off-street parking within the boundary beside the house (eg for storage of a dinghy / trailer.
The bedrooms are generously sized, most with added storage space for bags and clothes.

Bedroom 2 (right, rear) : Single bunk and Double bed (ie, sleeps 4), Built-in wardrobe
Bedroom 3 (left, front) : Single tri-bunk – double bed with single above (ie, sleeps 3), Built-in wardrobe
Bedroom 4 (left, rear) : Single tri-bunk – double bed with single above (ie, sleeps 3), Chest of drawers
The house comfortably sleeps 3 families with kids, Younger kids can then choose to stay in their parents room, or in one of the shared rooms.

Open living / kitchen – large kitchen with 2 bar stools. Dining table with 8 chairs, L shape lounge, TV, CD / DVD player (see instructions for operating sound system)
Kitchen has electric hob and separate oven / grill, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee pod machine, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, well-stocked with crockery, glasses and cooking pans / utensils.
Balcony accessed through a sliding door from the living room allows use of the 4 burner gas BBQ, and you can eat at the small table and outdoor chairs.

Laundry – Large washer and dryer, Drinks fridge,

We provide some supplies of tea / coffee / sugar. Tea towels, oven mitts, dish-washing liquid / tabs..
Bedding / towels:
Without a local washing service, guests must BYO sheets/ towels or hire them separately.
Each bed upstairs comes supplied with pillow and covered doona. If bringing your own, you would need top and bottom sheets, pillow slips a bathmat and bathroom towels.

Older kids – Fusball table, skateboard ramps in garage (to be used with adult supervision, wearing safety gear, and at your own risk)

Fire pit in backyard (please bring or collect your own wood)
Plenty of fairly open flat grassed land as part of the waterfront reserve to play ball sports.

The neighbourhood is very quiet, and with full double brick construction, you will barely hear the outside world. Please be mindful of our neighbours and avoid parties, loud outdoor conversations, or bring noisy dogs (if they don't settle into their new surroundings, please bring them into the garage in the evening as neighbour complaints may lead to your stay being cancelled ).
