About the home
"Beachhouse in Cowes" is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just a short walk from the beach and a short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Entry to the home is through the 2nd Living Room (with TV & Apple Box), with access to the main Bathroom (with shower, toilet, washing machine - March 2025 - please note this is currently not available as it is being replaced & clothes dryer). The central open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with Smart TV) provides direct access to Bedrooms 1 (with TV) & Bedroom 2. Through a sliding door is the rear Lounge Room which doubles as a children's retreat (with smart TV, 3 seater couch and one Single bed) which in turn provides access to Bedroom 3 (with BIR), another Bathroom (with shower), a separate toilet and the covered rear deck.
Outdoor Areas
The huge rear covered deck is a fanastic entertaining area (with pool table, seating for 13 and a gas BBQ ) overlooking the rear enclosed yard - perfect for pets & children alike, featuring a trampoline, soccer net and firepit (wood not provided). The partially enclosed single Garage has a table tennis table, and the front yard (with basketball hoop), is also enclosed and there is space to park 2 cars off the street.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top.
Heating & Cooling Systems
The home has 2 wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioners; one each in the main Living Room and the Lounge Room/Children's retreat, there are ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1 & 2, plus 2 portable fans and 2 portable heaters.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 5 beds, plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 10 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Tri-bunk bed
There is a Single bed in the rear Lounge Room and a Double sofa bed in the 2nd Living Room that is suitable for 2 adults or children.
Please note: A Tri-bunk bed has a double bed on the bottom, and a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
