The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was clean.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

My family (4 and 2 toddlers) rented this condo for a week. Upon arrival we saw that that the building was under construction, the roof was being redone. We were told that Destin Getaways had no idea it was under construction. The construction clearly had been going on for a while. I’m not sure how they didn’t know before hand. We were suppose to check in early but the cleaner could not get into the rental in time (due to the construct) , so we had to wait until 4pm to check in. The construction was so disruptive. We shouldn’t have stayed the entire week but we didn’t want to move all of our stuff & 2 kids. We were woken up multiple mornings by the construction workers walking on the roof, banging, and drilling. This continued all week long & both toddlers had trouble napping due to this work. We found multiple nails in the walkway to the condo & we could not use the patio furniture after the first day because the workers were above the patio and had moved our furniture. The very first day we found 3 roaches in the condo & the sliding glass door of the downstairs bedroom had a broken lock. I was given the personal number of a woman who worked at the Destin Getaways. She said to call or text with any issues. I texted her the next day about the roaches & broken lock & I never received a response from anyone. We found 8 roaches in total. 3 we found inside the dustpan the first time we used it, so this wasn’t an issue that began with us. We were promised compensation & no one reached out to us about that until I messaged and called on our last day. We were compensated 20%, but I don’t feel like that was an adequate compensation considering everything we dealt with during our stay. As I was on the phone with the property manager she did not seem shocked by anything I told her & did not seem interested in me giving all of the details of the issues we had.
