Welcome to the Misty Moose vacation property, your escape to the mountains! Our beautiful, family friendly rental property is located in the heart of Canmore in the Canmore Crossing Building and is the perfect place for your next getaway. With breathtaking views, endless outdoor activities and all the amenities you need to feel right at home, this mountain retreat is an experience you won’t forget.

Just what we were hoping for!

The place was terrific. It had everything we needed and more. It was clean, comfortable and easy to access all necessities (food store, liquor store). We love Canmore and would be happy to stay here again. I have been planning this trip as an 18th birthday and graduation present for my grandson and it worked out perfectly. Skiing at Lake Louise and a dog sled adventure....loved it.

Thus property had lots of extras! So many games and puzzles (no need to bring your own). Beds are comfortable, and bunk bed set is big, it pulls out even further to add another single or a double. I know this place was very clean and we were pleased with the location. The only thing we would critique is the shower needed to be drained and needed a plumber.

Great stay, highly recommend

Lindsay’s property was the perfect spot for our family. There was plenty to do in Canmore and the location was great for skiing around Banff. The condo was clean and had all necessary baby amenities. The hot tub had a booking process but was never occupied during our stay so it wasn’t an issue. Thanks for a great vacation!

Wonderful base for a Rocky Mountain adventure!

Misty Moose was the perfect base for our stay in Canmore. The apartment was exactly as described and suited our family perfectly for exploring Canmore, as well as the surrounding areas. The extra touches (Christmas tree and decorations) were lovely. Kitchen was fully equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. Lindsay was a wonderful host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay as part of our Canadian adventure.

Great location

Convenient location for amenities and comfortable for socializing and dining. Both bathroom sinks were blocked throughout our two day stay which was disappointing.

Cute, had everything we needed

We extended our stay due to our jasper trip being waylaid, and it was perfect. We used it as base to visit Banff, Kootenay, Yoho, Kananaskis, and David Thompson Country. The views from the living room inlcuded amazing sun rises and sets, rainbows and snow! Easy walk to groceries, downtown and three playgrounds. It was my husband and I, our two kids 8 &9, and my mother inlaw. Enough space for everyone

Great stay near Banff

Lindsay was a great hostess and easy to communicate with. She was able to help us add a nights stay to our reservation. She also provided a park pass which made entry in to the Banff area so easy. Location was close to the freeway and in a shopping area which made Grocery shopping and dining so easy. The unit was clean and provided all the amenities needed. Thanks for a great stay.

Clean Cute and Comfy!

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment comfortably slept 8 of us and was in a great location a few steps from downtown Canmore. Our only complaints would be that the kitchen was not properly stocked for 8 people- no big pots/pans for cooking large meals and plates/bowls were limited. The reserved parking stalls are very snug. The hot tub was also only accessible for 30 minutes at a time and needed to be pre booked. Other than a few minor things the place was awesome and we would recommend it for other families looking to take a trip to the mountains!

Fun stay

We had a great time here. Kids loved the bunk bed and all 4 of them enjoyed sleeping and playing. The place had good selection of games to keep the adults and kids occupied. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, condiments and other small things. Also the location is super convenient- very close to grocery store, restaurants and the village. The only thing missing here is the AC! It used to get really hot and even though we had fans we still felt hot. Besides that the place was clean and they had bear spray and umbrella in the closet which was nice. We didn't end up needing those. Overall a fun stay!

This is one of the cleanest properties we have stayed at. It had everything with details to even the basic requirements. The shampoo and body wash was a special tweet. They even had a national park family permit for guests to use. My only suggestion would be clarity in, use of elevator code and parking space with specific directions.

Great Times in Canmore

We really enjoyed our time at this property and found that things were accurately described on the listing. Lindsay was a great host and responded promptly whenever I had a question. At one point prior to our stay, I had contacted her asking her if there was a waffle iron or slow cooker in the kitchen. She mentioned that they did not have those items on site but appreciated knowing what people liked. When we checked in, guess what we found? Yep, a waffle iron and a slow cooker. There were 10 of us traveling (2 kids and 8 adults). The property suited us fine and everyone had comfortable places to sleep. It was clean and served our purpose very well. Easy access to the things we wanted to do in the parks and it included the park pass for one vehicle. The property shares a parking lot with local grocery stores. It was also close walking distance to the shops at Canmore. Check in and check out processes were easy and really only had us put in dirty dishes and start the dishwasher before leaving. Just a word of advice. If you want to use the hot tub, sign up for it 3 days in advance to get the times you want.No trouble getting a spot as long as we were scheduling in advance. Also the parking spots underneath are a little tight. We were driving a Ford Expedition which was fine until the person next to us parked really close to the parking line. If it is too small for your vehicle you can park on the north side of the complex. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Welcome, My name is Lindsay and I am excited to be a new host of the Misty Moose Property! I have always had a love for the outdoors and nature which is why we chose Canmore for our first rental property where we can enjoy the beauty and adventure of the mountains and are able to share that experience with our guests as well. I am a mom of two young girls and our family lives on an acreage west of Edmonton with our cat, Jake, and our oversized Bernese mountain dog, Russell. As a family we love to camp in the summers, and take in some great hikes, fishing and paddle boarding. Winters we are ski bums including downhill and cross country. Throughout the year I also volunteer with a Wildlife rehabilitation centre for orphaned and injured birds and small mammals. I lived in Canmore for a few years when I was younger and know the area quite well and look forward to being a host here so I can create some fantastic memories for our guests.

Our location is one of the most convenient locations in Canmore! While surrounded by mountains you are within a short walking distance to Canmore's main street/ downtown area with loads of shops and some of the best restaurants/ pubs in town! If you feel like eating in... the grocery store is within the same parking lot. Bus stop for the ROAM transit is right across the street so no need to drive if you don't want to. Canmore is surrounded by activities for everyone and all ages in both summer and winter, which makes it one of the top destinations. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do :)
