Summary:
This beautiful home features an expansive front porch, high ceilings, five spacious bedrooms, and two bathrooms, accommodating up to 15 guests. Experience historic charm paired with modern amenities, all just one mile from Birmingham CrossPlex and Bill Harris Arena, and three miles from Legion Field Stadium! Family-friendly and pet-friendly (with a fee), we provide professional photos alongside real-time images from our cleaning team to ensure transparency. We would love to host you!

The Space:
Guests will take the alleyway and park on the backside of the house. Climb the exterior stairs, and enter the small porch to find the door with a digital keypad.
Upon entry, you will find yourself in the fully-equipped kitchen with ample counter space and room to move around while preparing meals. Through the kitchen is the dining room with a farm table, two benches, and two chairs. The dining room has a door that provides access to the front porch.
Straight off the dining room is the first and only bedroom on the main floor; it features a king bed and an ornamental fireplace. Right of the dining room, at the end of the hall, is the first full bathroom with a stand-up shower and the back staircase leading to the additional bedrooms and bathroom. Left of the dining room is the entryway office nook with a desk, the main staircase, and the living room with a full sofa bed, two armchairs, a SmartTV, and an ornamental fireplace.
At the top of the main staircase is a futon, perfect for groups that need extra sleeping space. The first bedroom upstairs, across from the futon, features an ornamental fireplace, a full bed, and a twin bed. Down the hall, you will find a second bedroom featuring a full bed, a twin bed, an ornamental fireplace, and a SmartTV. The third bedroom upstairs features two full beds. The last bedroom has one full bed. The other full bathroom with a shower is at the end of the hall.
Patio furniture and a grill are available on the back patio.

Some guests have told us that they do not like our neighborhood. We think it is great and have never had any security issues, but we understand that everyone has different experiences and want to ensure you are comfortable in our home. If you are concerned about the neighborhood, we would be happy to talk with you about it before booking. We will not provide a refund upon arrival if you decide you do not like the area.

Guest Access:
The house has a digital keypad at the back door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home.

The Neighborhood:
Our home is located 1 mile from Birmingham CrossPlex with easy access to I-20. We are very close to restaurants and grocery options.

Getting Around:
Uber, Lyft, and other Taxi available, but driving is encouraged!

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 21 years of age to book.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.

We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free checkin via a digital door code. Just know that we are only a phone call away if ever the need arises during your stay!

I gave the benefit of doubt and chose to book here, I should have listened to the reviews. All reviews mentioning cockroaches, dirty counters, drawers, unsafe steps, and unsavory neighborhood was entirely accurate. The AC system did not work, had a service person there as we arrived fixing it, and it never did work upstairs despite many attempts to communicate with the property owner. Our stove did not work, thankfully the AC service worker helped me get that up and going. The kitchen was no where near “fully stocked” and truthfully I’m so glad I travel with cleaning supplies because I didn’t want to cook in that kitchen (sticky counters, food stuck on most silverware, floors covered in sunflower seeds?? bugs in utensil drawers) I didn’t feel unsafe in the neighborhood, but the house next door had 3 chained up pit bulls who barked *all* night long and any time you left the house. Children should not stay here. Thankfully my group had positive attitudes and it was only a two night stay where we were mostly out of the house. Also, one of the rooms only had a padlock on the exterior of the room? The person who stayed in that room said they woke up to knocking on the walls and scratching noises. I have no clue on what that was. 0/10 do not recommend

Worst description ever

This was a nightmare from start to finish. The description said some people thing the neighborhood is scary. The neighborhood was awful. The alley to drive down to get in the house was one big pot hole. The house smelled of mold in every room. One of the boys had an asthma attack. We had to stay at a hotel. Wont refund us

Convenient & Clean

The home is conveniently located near the highway for easy access around town. The inside was clean, well stocked kitchen (bowls, utensils, etc.), and lots of clean towels. Laundry is located off the back porch so hard to find, but not a problem after you know where it is and how to get into it. Neighborhood feels a little up and coming when you drive in, but everyone is friendly, we BBQ'd outside multiple nights with people walking/stopping by to say hello, and never felt unsafe. I would stay here again if ever back in Birmingham.
