Gator game day weekend

My friends and I stayed at this property for a gator game weekend. While the location was decent, there were certainly many things flawed about this vacation rental property. First, this property is very difficult to find (especially if you’re driving in the dark). It isn’t well lit and the front of the house isn’t the actual entrance. When you drive into the driveway, the house looks quite shambly. The shed doors were half open/ half closed making it seem like someone is hiding in there. Second, there were spider webs throughout the home on light fixtures and in corners of the home. The floors were dirty- your feet will be covered in dirt if you are barefoot. Usually vacation rentals have body wash for guests especially if you’re paying a ridiculous price a night. This property did not provide any body wash and the reason provided by the property manager was that it was a “sanitary reason.” The bath mats were filthy. There wasn’t a trash can in the kitchen. The trash can outside was full. The pool water was green and dirty. This property definitely was not worth the ridiculous price a night that we paid. The only positives was that the home had a lot of space and there were enough towels for every guest.

Very misrepresented property

We booked this property for my daughter’s graduation from UF. Graduation was early Saturday and we weren’t able to arrive until very late Friday night. The house was not well marked and difficult to see entrance for. Pulling in to the driveway was unsettling. The house looks ramshackle and there was overflowing garbage in bins outside of a partially opened garage. The yard is severely overgrown and unkempt. When finally entering the house we realized that it was completely dark and hot on one side of the house. There were no directional information on any counter for Wi-Fi and basic instructions. The house had been swept and floors were acceptably clean but bugs soon showed themselves. Spiderwebs and leaves covered the backyard and the rear deck was sagging so badly that we were nervous stepping on it. The pool was filthy. The kitchen was missing basic necessities and missing the front of one of the drawers. The ones that worked are on their last leg. The drains were clogged and the showers had no soap available, not that we wanted to use them particularly. There was a door leading to a room off the living room that led to a room that should’ve been locked for guests. It wasn’t though. It was a strange old kitchen full of a hodgepodge of garbage and a few dead bugs. Also it was the place we luckily found garbage bags. Had we not arrived so late Friday and a Saturday so busy, we would have found other accommodations. I wish there had been time for that. More to say. No room.
