Located in the Golden Triangle of the Adelaide Hills, our farm is ideal as your base for exploring wineries, or simply enjoying a relaxed getaway away from the city. The Shepherd’s Cottage was built in the mid 1800s, we’ve kept the humble rustic nature of the cottage alive, an homage to simpler days, but now featuring modern conveniences. This three bedroom cottage can accommodate groups, but is charming enough for just a couple to enjoy a cosy night away, curled up in front of the indoor fire. Please note this base price is just for 2 people.

*Older farm homes such as The Shepherd's Cottage do come with quirks, sticky windows and the occasional creaky floorboard, please enjoy the charm, the vibe, the wabisabi.
*digital detox, there is a TV but please note as we are on rural satellite NBN streaming is sketchy, but free to air is fine. We have a good library of DVDs for some old school fun. We do have WiFi, and a desk should you need to do some work. We also have an ever expanding library of board games, now stored in the main house, plus yard games and of course, the pool.
KIDS
Whilst we are family friendly we haven't "child-proofed" the cottage, so please be aware that this little old cottage will have lots of corners and edges and things that might trip up a toddler used to a more modern home. Please take care, especially, around the fireplace and on the farm in general.
PETS
We have pets on the farm, and the cottage isn't fenced off so the animals could wander over. Our dogs are very friendly, although still protective of their farm and family, and the cats generally don't go near guests, they are pretty shy. If you are scared of animals then sadly this might not be the listing for you.
Bringing a pet? Please add your pet to the guest list and advise us. Please be aware that on the farm we have livestock, and there are plenty of wild animals here: birds, hares, possums, foxes and kangaroos, some doggos might find it sensory overload.
