Isoliert und doch nah an Annehmlichkeiten. Neu renoviertes Haus auf 6,7 Hektar direkt am Highway 24. Nur 4 Minuten westlich von Torrey Restaurants und anderen Dienstleistungen. Umgeben von Freiflächen mit spektakulärem Blick auf den Thousand Lake Mountain, den Boulder Mountain und die Henry Mountains. Der nächste Nachbar ist über eine Meile entfernt! Es gibt eine Feuerstelle und einen Holzkohlegrill, wenn der Drang aufkommt, draußen zu kochen oder einfach am Feuer unter dem Sternenhimmel warm zu bleiben. Keine Nachbarn = keine Lichter = großartige Sternbeobachtung. Tolle Fotos auch in alle Richtungen!

Helle, offene Küche und Essbereich. Herd und Heißluftofen sind älter, haben aber leicht alles gekocht, um Thanksgiving-Abendessen für 10 zu veranstalten.

Ideal für Kinder mit viel Platz, Spielzeug und einer Tischtennisplatte im Spielzimmer. Ältere Stereoanlage (bringen Sie Ihren Kindern bei, was Kassetten sind!) und neuer 48 "TV plus DVD-Player (wir haben auch einen VHS-Player und einige Kassetten für mehr Geschichtsunterricht). Der antike Fernseher und das Radio im Wohnzimmer funktionieren nicht, können aber auch zum Geschichtsunterricht beitragen.

Tolle Fahrrad- oder ATV-Fahrten, Spaziergänge in der Natur und Wanderwege direkt vor der Haustür (erstaunliche 17-Meilen-Rennradschleife unter dem Cockscomb oder ~ 12-Meilen-Laufschleife auf der alten Müllhalde) und natürlich der Capitol Reef National Park und viele andere Andere Naturwunder sind mit einer kurzen Fahrt leicht zu erreichen. Die Radrunde war die letzten beiden Runden der Tour of Utah im Jahr 2016.

Torrey hat sowohl saisonale als auch ganzjährige Restaurants innerhalb von 2 Meilen. Gute Pizza, Burger, südwestliches Essen alles nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt.

Unbeatable location

Absolutely gorgeous location, stunning views in every direction, feels like you’re miles from anyone else. We came for stargazing and the night sky was incredible. We loved the huge deck and comfy patio furniture - we sat outside for hours. We did a couple short scenic drives but mostly we didn’t want to leave! Everything was so comfortable … kitchen was clean and roomy with new appliances, Wi-Fi was as good as home (we had to do a bit of work during our stay), nice clean bathrooms, hot showers, plenty of blankets and towels, one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Torrey was so fun as well, we loved Etta Place Cider, and Hunt and Gather restaurant was phenomenal. We got coffee from Shooke and Dark Sky and both were great. From feeling like you’re living in total isolation, to gourmet food 5 minutes away 😋 Hope to be back soon!

We loved this property! It was cozy, clean, and perfect for our family (our 9, 7, and 2 year old kids loved it.) It felt like home: clean and welcoming, but well worn (in the best ways.) We were just a few minutes from Capitol Reef, which was beautiful. And the restaurants in Torrey were great. While we were at the house we played ping pong, watched movies, laid out on the patio to watch the stars, cooked, grilled, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Sean was helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Family reunion trip

This was the perfect property us to attend a large family reunion in nearby Lyman, UT. We had three elderly couples and a couple of adult children get together. The house is not fancy, but it had everything we needed. The best part is how isolated it sits from neighbors. We loved sitting out on the deck in the evening until it was really dark. The night sky was amazing without any light pollution. We were able to Capital Reef National Park, Boulder Mountain and other local hiking locations. Sean was a great host. Perfect place to use as a base camp to explore some of the most stunning natural beauty in Utah.

Great stay - again.

This is our second stay here and we love this place. Off by itself so the noise of kids and late night movies not a problem. Convenient for our nearby Capitol Reef National Park adventures. The owners are very, very responsive - the best we’ve experienced in our many rental stays. ALL of us recommend it!

Not just an oasis, it’s a gem!

Six of us friends enjoyed our visit to Capitol Reef National Park so much, thanks for the comfort and convenience of this house provided us. The owner has stocked the house more than my own home. We felt so relaxed and enjoyed all the convenience such as the big kitchen, the laundry room, the deck and the ping pong table in the basement. The WiFi worked just like downtown! Thank you!

Rustic charmer with great views

This home was perfect for our multi-generational group aged from 13-82. The location near Capitol Reef and Torrey made it a perfect launching point for exploring Utah’s parks. The beds were all comfortable and we were able to rest easy after our days of hiking and exploring. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The game room was great for our teens. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The views from the property are phenomenal and the area gave us plenty of options for dining and adventure.

Quiet home on a beautiful setting

We loved our stay at this home. Remote and beautiful but with easy access to Capitol Reef National Park. Well stocked and comfortable. The deck was especially wonderful. We sat outside a lot and enjoyed the beauty and the quiet. We were warned that GPS wouldn’t work and it was a little hard to find, but the owner was immediately responsive when I called and then it was easy. I highly recommend this rental. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Room to explore outdoors

Kitchen and basement like new, other areas of home rustic/dated, but comfortable. We had everything we needed to satisfy family members from 3 years old to 72. Night sky was unbelievable! Plenty of room to roam and explore on site. Beautiful deck and kitchen. We enjoyed every day.

Our family reunion has come to this property for 7 years in a row. Every year, the house keeps getting better with more upgrades. Peace and quiet

We specifically chose this house due to its location, which was far away from any other house. It was exactly what we were hoping for and had a very peaceful few days stay. Very clean and had everything we needed. We had no cause to contact the owners but they made themselves available to us if we had needed their help with anything. We appreciated being able to bring our two dogs with us.

Lovely setting

Beautiful location; very little evidence of humans seen from this house, only beautiful views. Four roomy bedrooms plus couches. Very clean. Hosts very responsive. Very nice well-equipped kitchen. This house is not fancy but has everything you need. We hope to stay here again.

Very remote but perfect!

Straight out of the 60s with some modern updates. Truly felt like staying at someone's home, not a VRBO. Very well equipped. Fit into the area perfectly. Situated between the "Big 5" if you don't mind driving a couple hours to a couple of the parks. Make sure you arrive before dark though your first day...not well lit and set very far off the road (owner will provide a map). Otherwise, a great place to stay!

Southern Utah Road Trip, Part 2.

We are a 3 adult couples traveling together on a road trip of Southern Utah, including the 5 NP's, some state parks, and a few NM's. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Sean was very helpful, and we really enjoyed the somewhat eclectic furnishings. Particularly the 50's era Admiral TV and the classic RCA consul radio. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the countryside beautiful.

Thank you for an amazing week!

We were so excited to spend the week here and everything met our expectations. Communication was perfect, from start to finish, owners were very receptive to messages. Property was quirky, but we absolutely loved it and so did our dogs. It’s quiet, away from people, and the views couldn’t have been better! they did a phenomenal job updating the kitchen, it really was open, with double doors to the deck. There was even half and half in the fridge for us, and a little extras here and there that were nice touches. Hands-down we would stay here again and again!!

Capitol Reef Getaway

The property was perfect for our group, an excellent hub for hiking and touring the Capitol Reef area. In the cold weather, we enjoyed the wood stove in the kitchen, all the instructions for everything were spot on. We would certainly stay here again.

Rustic Torrey House

Our group of ten enjoyed this Torrey home. Many different areas to hang out in the house. The beautiful views were enhances with a dusting of snow one morning. A short scenic drive to Capital Reef National Park. We lit up the outdoor fire pit to admire the night skies.
