Ocean’s Edge sits up on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Inner Heron Island in East Boothbay. It is an old cottage with Knotty Pine that has been lovingly restored by its present owners over the past 20 years. It is cozy and full of character and features spiral staircase and a fun kitchen for cooks updated with new cabinets, countertop, and sink. There are books throughout the house to read and a gas fireplace for chilly nights in the main living area with views of the ocean.
The main cottage has beds for six with one full bed in the downstairs bedroom with a full bathroom (Bedroom 1), one queen bed in the upstairs bedroom (Bedroom 2), and a trundle bed in the common area upstairs along with a full bathroom. Please note that the trundle bed is not enclosed in a room and is situated in the open space at the top of the spiral staircase before entering the upstairs bedroom. From this common area, there is a deck with spectacular views of the Atlantic and an outdoor staircase that leads back to the first floor. The bunkhouse (Bedroom 3) has one full bed and a cushy chair and table. It can also easily double as a yoga studio or a quiet spot to read.
The home is on King Phillips Trail surrounded by nature and sits on a two-mile loop that is perfect for walking, running, or biking. The west side of the loop features a working waterfront on Little River with wonderful afternoon sunlight reflecting off the water. It is a perfect getaway for families and couples who prefer to recharge in peace.
