The Playa Grande complex is clean, nicely landscaped, and has beautiful pools. This ground floor unit has the perfect location within the complex. The large folding glass doors open on to the patio creating an open air environment just steps away from the pool and beach.
We appreciated our long walks on the seemingly endless beach (usually without coming across even one other person) and the sight and sound of the crashing waves. The waves here are impressive to listen to and watch, but it is too rough to swim. This was fine with us as we would rather swim in the pool and walk on the beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and a pool bar in season. In fact, on the afternoon of our arrival, we prepared our lunch to eat on our patio and the bartender brought the drinks we ordered from the bar to us!
The interior of this unit is has everything you need, is comfortable, clean, well-decorated, and laid out very well.
This is an excellent place to relax, and if you want to experience an authentic Mexican beach town, Melaque is a short drive away. We spent the better part of the day on the beach in Cuastecomates relaxing and enjoying a fresh fish lunch. Cuastecomates is a good place to take a dip in the ocean, or perhaps go kayaking if you'd like.
Shaune was a pleasure to work with. He contacted me after I made our reservation. He gave some great tips and made sure we had everything we needed. The front desk personnel at the resort were also very helpful in answering our questions.
