Perfect for an active family, Blake House is a block from Lake Lytle and the county boat launch, plus minutes from beautiful Rockaway Beach. If you have a boat, there’s plenty of parking for your trailer, and you can always borrow the kayaks from the house and have a paddle around the lake. Family trip with all ages

The house was lovely and clean and well stocked with the basics. We were pleasantly surprised to see so many toys, books, and activities to suit everyone. There were also baby play pens, high chair, and stroller/wagons for the kids. It was a great place to stay all the way through.

Nice summer beach getaway

We stayed for three nights in the end of July. The house was nice and clean, although when I lifted sofa's leg rest I saw a lot of dust and trash under the sofa. Nice two shower heads bathroom in the master suite. No closets in bedrooms. Kitchen is nice too. Interestingly they don't have kitchen cabinets on the wall,so maybe this why they don't have much space,so kitchen supplies were limited. Frying pans were rusted and scratched,so no use. Practically no back yard. Front yard is small,just enough space for few chairs and charcoal fire pit. Then we received check in instructions we found out that they limit parking to two cars. This wasn't on the property description when we made a reservation. I called and asked about and was offered to park in some public parking or in the management office parking lot in Manzanita.And I also was told that on their web site it listed two cars parking,which was a lay! It wasn't on their site or VRBO site. And I didn't liked it! When we arrived we saw plenty of parking just across the street. But inside on the house rules it says again two cars only,and that parking is monitored. Well we managed and all this parking issue didn't ruined our stay. Weather was nice. Very nice lake just few minutes to walk. They have one child kayak, one canoe and one adult kayak ( it has a hole on upper part,but we still stayed away of using it) Overall we liked the house and area around. But we're not happy with management.

Wonderful getaway

Lovely place and very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Says 3 bathrooms but only two. Woodstove is out of order, locked closet in master was broken by previous guests and blinds in living room are broken and fall off every time someone sits on the couch. These weren’t bad things just want owners to know.

Great beach house

We really enjoyed our stay house was perfect . Only problem was we couldn’t check in at 4:00 House wasn’t ready and we had to wait down the street for an hour.

Lots of space, great value, good for young kids

Really nice open floor plan with plenty of room to spread out. Lots of kids toys, and a high chair, pack n play, and baby gate. Fireplace was out of order. Not much of an outdoor space, and about a 5 min drive to the beach. Kitchen had plenty of plates, mugs, and silverware. Could use a few more household items like scissors, a whisk, and plastic wrap/aluminum foil. PROPERTY ONLY HAS 2 bathrooms, owner please update this. Would stay again

Well equipped house with plenty amenities

The house was very well equipped with plenty amenities. We had all the things we needed to prepare meals during our stay and make smores around a fire at night. The rooms were clean, and the large TV was a nice plus. Although not located right next to the beach, it's still a relatively convenient spot for exploring nearby attractions. The only downside was the stale brackish smell that permeated the house when we first arrived. We suspect the smell was from lakewater on the kayaks that were stored in the garage. The smell slightly dissipated after opening all the windows and allowing some air circulation.

A retreat at Rockaway Beach to explore the coast

Overall, we had a delightful experience at this house. Convenient walk from the house to the beach and the beach chairs and toys were a true bonus to our stay. The updating to the house is very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a very strong musty smell that was present throughout our stay. We were able to manage it with opening windows, and reported it to the management company. Hopefully that can be fixed for future guests.
