Summary:
This modern townhouse is 750 meters from the energetic Hobart waterfront, where you will find MONA ferries, Salamanca Market and heaps of restaurants and cafes. The townhouse has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a spa. The kitchen, lounge/dining is downstairs with a small balcony and BBQ. There are two large smart, flat-screen TV's with free wifi (NBN). There is three levels, 2 sets of stairs and off-street, parking for 2 cars (one behind the other, with vehicle height limit of 1.8 m).
The Space:
In this fabulous location you will also be close to a Woolworths, five minutes walk, downtown shops, the Museum and Art Gallery, Theatre Royal, Hobart Aquatic Centre (Doone Kennedy Aquatic Centre now), Tennis Centre and Botanical Gardens.
Kitchen/dining and living area: On the ground level. The kitchen features an electric oven and stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, cooking ware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils. There are three couches and a smart flat-screen TV in the living area and dining table.
Laundry: Front loading washer, dryer, detergent, clothes drying rack, iron and ironing board available.
Go up a flight of stairs:
Bedroom 1: This spacious bedroom features a king size bed with a comfortable king koil executive mattress (extra long) and built in wardrobe.
All our mattresses are king koil.
Bedroom 2: Also on the first level also, this bedroom has three single beds (two are extra long and wide) and a built in wardrobe.
Bathroom 1: Situated between bedroom 1 and 2, this bathroom contains a shower, vanity and toilet. Both bathrooms have soap, shampoo and conditioner. Towels and toilet paper are provided.
Go up a flight of stairs:
Bedroom 3: This room is located on the top level and contains an extra-long king size bed, a large built in wardrobe and a ceiling fan.
Bedroom 4: This contains three single beds, two are extra long and wide. There is a large, smart, flat-screen TV, desk, drawer space, a small space to hang clothes and a ceiling fan.
Bathroom 2: Located between bedroom 3 and 4 it features a spa, shower, vanity and toilet. It is shared by the occupants of bedroom 3 and 4.
Children: Please be mindful of two long open-backed sets of stairs which are steeper than they appear (see photo) when booking for young children.
Travel cot and high chair available.
Parking: Easily accessible two car (one behind the other) secure off-street parking located underneath the townhouse. The MAXIMUM VEHICLE HEIGHT the parking can accommodate 1.8 metres high. Please check the height of minivans, minibus etc.
Guest Access:
Guests enjoy use of the whole townhouse.
The Neighborhood:
Located in Hobart's CBD, the townhouse is less than a 700m walk to Constitution Dock at Franklin Wharf and the MONA ferry. Salamanca is next to the wharf. Enjoy Salamanca market on Saturday mornings. The townhouse is even closer to the Museum and Art Gallery of Tasmania. Further on but easily walkable is historic Battery Point. The Menzies Research Centre is a few minutes walk away as is the Royal Hobart Hospital. There is a Woolworths next to the hospital (underground) and many retail shops, restaurants and cafes downtown. The Hobart Aquatic Centre and the Domain Tennis Centre are also close, within walking distance.
Getting Around:
The Elizabeth St. Mall bus depot for local buses is less than 10 minutes walk from the townhouse. The bus station for buses around Tasmania is located a walkable distance across town. the town of hovart
Other Things to Note:
PARKING: MAXIUM VEHICLE HEIGHT OF 1.8 METRES. There is a parking lot nearby.
There are about 8 concrete steps up to the property, three to carpark and two sets of open wooden stairs in house that are steeper than they appear in photos.
We are happy for guests to pre-arrange to check in sooner than 4pm providing the property has been cleaned. We usually cannot confirm this until a couple of days before arrival. There are a couple of bag storage solutions nearby. Just ask for details.
This is an non smoking property. Guests can smoke on the balcony, but please not in the entrance to the property.
$100 fee for lost parking remote, $ 10 for lost keys.
