Located within the beautiful ambience of North Adelaide, this quiet property is walking distance to the historic Kentish Hotel and shops of Melbourne and O'Connel Sts. Adelaide City, Adelaide Zoo and Botanic Gardens are only a 15 minute walk away and public transport is close by. A single car garage and on street parking make this central location great for exploring the delights of Adelaide. The Adelaide Hills and the wine regions of the Barossa and Mclaren Vale are also only an hours drive away.

Gorgeous house and great location

Very spacious 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. Great courtyard in the backyard. The zoned airconditioning was excellent. Close to Melbourne Street shops, cafes and restaurants. Close to the North Adelaide free bus. Twently minute to the zoo and North Terrace.

January stay in Nth Adelaide

Carolyn has a lovely period house with tall ceilings and generous sized bedrooms. The house was cool and quiet even though our stay was mid-January. It is conveniently located close to all amenities in a shady tree lined street and walking distance to the CBD, zoo and river Torrens.Our group of friends would love to stay with Carolyn again on our next trip to Adelaide.

Cricket getaway

This property was perfect as a place to stay when we visited for the test cricket. Walking distance to Adelaide Oval, close to cafes, restaurants in Melbourne & O’Connell Streets, and providing great amenity & comforts. Highly recommended.

Perfectly positioned

For a sister's weekend away, we booked. Around 50 metres from The Kentish Hotel and the buzzing cafe scene of Melbourne Street, this property was well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Orange, lemon and mandarin trees dotted the rear courtyard - a bowl adorned the outdoor table, perfect for a breakfast juice before a day of touring. The rear bathroom was functional, all other rooms well appointed. Its a gorgeous cottage, we'll be back.

Centrally located hideaway

Overall very good, however we are used to having at least the first mornings breakfast provided (eggs bacon toast milk), and a couple problems with the newer bathroom (door handle and shower rose) and mattress in bed 3 was not up to standard. We enjoyed the great location and heating was very good, fruit trees were a real treat too

Comfortable House

This lovely house ticks all the boxes. Great location lovely area of Adelaide. Spacious bedrooms and living areas. Good to have a garage. Carolyn is very prompt to respond to any questions. Easy checkin. I would highly recommend this property

Beautiful Heritage House

We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was extremely comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for 4 people and decorated beautifully. Great location to restaurants and bus stop at the end of the street, so access to Adelaide city was easy. We only took our car out of the garage once. I would highly recommend staying here and I will be staying agin next time in Adelaide.

Lovely House

We travelling to Adelaide for the National Band Championship 2024, and needed a place close to the CBD and University of Adelaide. This house was perfect. Close and easy access for our many trips back and forth, but it was also a really well maintained, clean and comfortable house. Carolyn was so responsive to all of our questions, and was an excellent host. I would highly recommend this house, and if we travel back to Adelaide in the future, we will definitely look to stay here again.

North Adelaide at its Best

Our stay at this property was absolutely blissful! Our Host was so very accommodating. We were attending a family wedding with people coming from all over Australia and to enjoy each other's company at this venue made the three days a wonderful memory. Great house. Excellent location. A lovely house in a great location

We were a group of friends staying in Adelaide for the cricket test and this house met all our needs. The house has lovely high ceilings, air conditioning, a well stocked kitchen and a nice outdoor space. We left the car in the garage and walked everywhere. Highly recommended.

Great location, lovely house with a few feedback points

I stayed at the Sandstone House for 5 nights with 2 young kids and 2 other adults. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had ample space for us and our visitors. It also has a garage at the back which we used to park our car (fits a sedan but not a large SUV). The house is close to a main road but the noise doesn't travel inside the house. The bedrooms are spacious and are pitch black at night. Kitchen has good supplies and plenty of bowls, cups, cutleries. North Adelaide is a lovely area to walk in, with tree-lined streets and easy access to parks, playgrounds, cafes, shops. Supermarkets are a 5 minute drive away. The CBD and Torrens River are 5 minutes away. Carolyn was responsive and check in process was a breeze. I do have a few points for feedback and FYI for future guests: - There is no clothes dryer (not a deal breaker for us) - The dishwasher doesn't work as well. Dishes frequently still have food stuck on them. - Should provide a dish drying rack and washing gloves so guests can wash by hand because dishwasher doesn't work that well - TV remote is a bit dodgy - TV is difficult to turn on and turn off - There is no bathtub

Beautiful house in a lovely location

The house was great for our 4 people party (one couple, 2 singles). Lovely location with cafes and shops nearby. Buses to get other places if you need. Host was great to communicate with, check in and out easy. Would def stay again, especially if we had more time to enjoy the property for a bit longer.
