Relaxing Getaway

Loved this unique, quirky property with direct access to the water. Very relaxing and easy access to south Gig Harbor grocery stores, restaurants etc. Comfy beds, beach fire pit and new washer/dryer made for an easygoing time.

Amazing property

A coworker and I went for two nights to be heads down on a project. The space was large enough that we were comfortable and the amenities were amazing. We had a blast kayaking after work. The only thing that alarmed me was a 10am check out. I’ve never seen a check out so early but it was clear in the listing and the place was so amazing that it was ok. Would love to come back sometime.

Beautiful home

This home was absolutely beautiful. Location right on the water was perfect for use of paddle boards and kayaks provided. Plenty of life jackets were available for use. Comfortable outdoor furniture was available on beach and decks for outdoor enjoyment. Kitchen was well supplied with all items necessary for a great visit and the 2 living areas had ample space for everyone to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. House was spotless when we arrived and the host was awesome. Will definitely visit again!

Enjoyable

Four generations with the oldest having a birthday. We enjoyed sunsets, mornings with coffee watching the boats off loading and loading. We went for a gondola ride in at the harbor and paddle boarded right on our own little beach. No TV was turned on. A lot of story's and laughing. Our 5 year old granddaughter totally enjoyed herself. Very, very relaxing.

Perfect weekend getaway

This charming bungalow on the beach was a perfect for a long weekend getaway to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. The house was appointed with everything one could want. The outdoor beach fire pit was home to many fun moonlit laughs. The history of the house is also super cool. Highly recommend

Calm wonderfulness

What a cool place to stay. Plenty big, clean, nice decorations. I loved learning about the house before it was a house. Enjoyed watching the boats launch and cruise on the water. My only little critique, no king size bed. Lol. It was the epitome of calm. It was a wonderful time.

Amazing place

First off, the host was absolutely amazing in every way, from a month previous to the stay until the day after, absolutely accommodating. The place it self is wonderful full of gig harbors history into which I grew up and even my family who came over, gig harbians thought it was absolutely beautiful. I will 100% stay here again. Lovely house- beautiful location

We had a great time at Berg’s landing- such a fun historic place with an amazing view. We had one day of perfect weather to enjoy the beach, kayaking, and smores at the fire pit. The house was very clean and the beds and couch were so comfortable. Convenient location for Tacoma, Puget Sound and even Seattle.

Fun for Families

This beachfront house was a welcoming spot to get away! Our family loved the extra large sectional couch for a movie night, fire pit for s'mores, calm beach for our children to play by the water, and proximity to shops and restaurants for exploring. We would definitely go back!

Perfection @ Berg’s Landing

Words cannot describe the hospitality, charm and sense of “home” Berg’s Landing provided our family during our 3 week stay. A home with a rich tradition of history and more importantly family has been perfectly kept in-tact by Marc and Kristen (and family) and only added to the memories we take from our trip to the PNW. The neighbors / neighborhood were wonderful and the location only added to the enjoyment that Berg’s Landing provided. The beach and The Sound provided hours of activity/fun for our children and hours of peace and relaxation for us during all hours of the day. The only negative we take from our trip was not booking Berg’s Landing for 4 weeks and having to finally depart.

“The Water House”

We had an amazing stay at “The Water House” named by my almost three year old. At this time of year, Bergs Landing was quiet, peaceful, full of amazing light and views, and a perfect place to relax and spend some quality family time together. We had everything we needed for cooking several meals at the house and loved the location and it’s proximity to the beach and water, but also the quick trip to Safeway! This location is one of a kind with its interesting history and beautiful views.

Great week at the boat launch!

Had a tremendous time staying in this renovated historic general store. We stayed here all week with our family and loved the atmosphere and location. S’mores by the fire pit and kayaking with the provided kayaks were just some of the highlights from a great week. This property is located right at the boat lunch which allowed us to meet all sorts of great people and to enjoy watching families and boaters come and go. And the best part of the week was the occasional visits on the deck from some of the local “beach dogs” Walter and Millie who made sure we were having a great time. The sunsets were to die for and sitting by the fire on our own little private beach was absolutely perfect! Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent Location, Beautiful Home & Incredible Host

I was trying to estimate the number of vacation rentals I've rented or stayed at during my life. Maybe 25? 30? Kristen was far-and-away the most hospitable host we've ever had. We got friendly texts before we even arrived, were welcomed with snacks and personal notes, and more friendly texts (and some help with an item we left behind) when we checked out. I've stayed in plenty of rentals where the communication from the owner is along the lines of "HERE ARE THE RULES YOU'LL BE SORRY IF YOU BREAK THEM!" Kristen's communication was entirely along the lines of , "I'm SO glad you're here! How can I make your stay better?!" (And the house rules were entirely reasonable) The property itself is nearly as amazing as Kristen's hospitality. Right on the water, with a private beach and everything you could possibly need to have a good time on the sound. Kayaks, life jackets, a fire pit and plenty of outside seating. We met some friendly neighbors, beach walkers and a possie of labradors during our time on the beach. I know this will sound insincere if I keep using superlatives, but this rental deserves them, so I'll keep going: the interior of the house was the most thoughtfully decorated interior of anyplace I've ever stayed. An HGTV interior design show could just walk in, and convincingly film an episode of "how to perfectly and authentically decorate your beachfront cottage." The beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is far enough out of downtown to feel private, but about 5-minutes from great dining and grocery options. I feel like reviews aren't convincing if you don't point out the negatives, but there weren't any. The cottage is converted from an old store, but it's wonderfully done. Some of the floors aren't even (as you'd expect from an old house on the beach), and you may feel like you've had a few too many walking across them even when you're completely sober. But honestly, it was charming and lovely. The house is right next to a public boat ramp, hidden in a residential neighborhood. On a sunny Saturday, a handful of boats got launched. We found it good entertainment, but if you were hoping for complete isolation, I suppose this could be an issue? My only regret is that our stay was too short, and we had obligations that kept us from spending our whole weekend relaxing and playing at the house. We're already planning our next trip.
