Cosy cottage by the seaside

Situated right in the heart of McLeods bay this lovely cottage awaits your arrival.
Fully self-contained and directly opposite the beach. You can enjoy the views (including stunning sunsets!) from your deck.
There is plenty of room to park your boat or jet ski and for kids and pets to play safely.
Nestled between majestic Mt Manaia and the expansive Whangarei Harbour, McLeod's Bay is the perfect holiday playground but is also close enough to Whangarei City Centre if you need to stay over while visiting for work.
Provided is:
• Excellent Mobile coverage within the cottage.
• Complimentary unlimited WIFI (excellent reception).
• Complimentary Netflix's
• Use of a BBQ
2 Kayaks with life jackets to explore the calm bays/coves/nearby marine reserve.
• On-site parking (including space for boat parking).

The cottage is also close to eateries including The Deck Cafe and McLeod Bay Takeaway(2 minutes’ drive). The Parua Bay Tavern (10 minutes’ drive), 2 cafes (Indian and Pizza), mini supermarket, gym, bakery, bottle store, and hairdresser (6 minutes’ drive away).

Enjoy the beautiful surrounding reserves and walks.
Relaxed safe swimming right out front or take a 10min drive to stunning Ocean Beach for surfing and swimming in the waves.
Whangarei Harbour is renowned for fishing and diving with Whangarei Heads having beautiful East Coast beaches, and is the gateway to off shore Islands.

There are 2 bedrooms, 1 queen bed in the house, and in the sleepout a double bed and a single bed.

Well Worth A Visit
Fantastic space right on the beachfront. Incredible sunsets both nights that we stayed, and an amazing deck to enjoy them from. Great facilities. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. I want to visit again, and again, again.

A pleasant few days away
Lovely wee property. It was good to come back up North for a couple of days away and have this cottage to come back to in the evenings. Nice peaceful location. Lovely walks. We were very happy with our stay.

Wonderful Property
Property was immaculate and had everything you would require except for a clothes dryer. The highlight of the property was the front porch which overlooked the bay.The property was also a short driving distance to a grocery store and great bakery.

We had a great stay here. Lovely clean bach, everything you need. Beautiful swims over the road at high tide. Perfect for our dog too, fully fenced. Great area to explore. Local fish and chips were very good!

Small but perfectly formed
Perfect for a couple for a relaxed few days. Everything is there you need and the furniture is very comfortable. Deck is so lovely to sit on plus it would be very cosy in winter with blinds and a heater.

Absolutely awesome!
Our family made up of 2 adults and 2 children under 7 years stayed here for the weekend and we absolutely LOVED it! Classic Kiwi bach with everything you need. The views were stunning and right across the road from the playground and beach for swims. We walked up to the Fish and Chip shop and to get icecreams. Great location in between all that Whangarei has to offer. Highly recommend. We'll be back again with friends as there is a bedroom inside the house and then sleepout for privacy. Heaps of seating at the front and back of property. Can't wait to go back!

Such a cool little cottage
We fell in love. It was just a great spot to be. Cafe 200m away for decent coffee. Nearby walks. Swimming right in front. But mostly we just sat on the verandah. Some eating options in Parua Bay about 5 mins drive. The Indian food there was brilliant. Also weirdly the bottle shop there was the best stocked we have ever seen - and the staff happy to point out all the local spirits!

Beautiful sunset and a beautiful kiwi bach.
It's just a lovely location to relax and unwind. It is hard to beat sitting on the deck with fish n chips and a wine and enjoying that view. The place was great. We just turned up and put the wine in the fridge. We're already planning our next stay and can't wait!

Just as description but better!!! Lovely cosy feel and having a sheltered deck was a bonus. Very restful view looking at water and various boats!!! Fenced property was handy for dogs and children - playground close by. Small shopping centre and petrol station only 5 mins drive away. Cafe and takeaways nearby a fit could walk easily!!! Would love to return soon. Thanks Robyn for allowing my Dog Lenny as he enjoyed exploring the section and beach!!!

My family have been coming to McLeods bay for family holidays since I was a young child so it just seemed like a natural choice for us to purchase the cottage when it came up for sale. We have spent many wonderful holiday's here with our children and love sharing it with other friends and families.
