3. Garbage
City of Kawartha Lakes has quite an unique approach to garbage collection.
-None recyclable waste have to be collected inside a clear garbage bag. We have provided a large trash bin to the right side of the garage for you to dispose garbage.
The garbage bin is designed to prevent animals from reaching inside. Kitchen waste can fist be collected in a small garbage bin under the kitchen sink. Once the small bin is full, please dispose the garbage to the large trash can outside and secure the lid(pushing the handle inward and locking the snap in place).
Please freeze any garbage that could stink up quickly to avoid attracting unwanted pests. The host will dispose of them later.
No recyclable material such as plastic, glass, metal nor cardboard can go in the trash can.
-If guest is staying over Monday night, please help bring your garbage out to the curb before going to bed. The city only allow 2 bags each week. Please note, the garbage have to be in clear bags.
-Plastic, glass and Metal are to be collected together, they are to be put into the garbage bin to the left side(grey bin to the left of dishwasher)
-Paper and card board are to be put into the garbage bin to the right(white bin to the left of the dishwasher)
If those are full, please collect them in a garbage bag and set them aside to the right side of the garage. They will be disposed later by the host.
