Bitte lesen Sie - Für die Saison 2018 haben wir einen Dritten für die Verwaltung unseres Eigentums eingesetzt. Leider war der Service für unsere Gäste oder für uns als Hausbesitzer nicht so gut. Unsere Bewertungen waren schon immer stark, aber sie wurden gelöscht, als wir zu einem Dritten wechselten. Wir sind zurück im Jahr 2019 und leiten das Anwesen selbst. Wir hoffen, dass wir auch wiederkehrende Gäste und neue zufriedene Gäste haben werden. Neu im Jahr 2019 - neue Feuerstelle, neue Matratzen im gesamten und ein Kingsize-Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer

Das Sea Rose Cottage befindet sich in einer wunderschönen, ruhigen Umgebung im malerischen Dorf Owls Head, einem typischen Küstenort von Maine. Owls Head General Store, Light House und State Park sind zu Fuß erreichbar und das Haus bietet einen Blick auf Owls Head Harbour. Fahrräder, Grill und Hummerkocher vor Ort - gehen Sie einfach über die Straße zum Kai und holen Sie sich frischen Hummer von Maine.

Die Innenstadt von Rockland mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften erreichen Sie nach einer 10-minütigen Fahrt. Mit dem Farnsworth Museum, dem Leuchtturm Museum, dem Owls Head Transportation Museum, den Stränden und vielen anderen Attraktionen in der Nähe werden Sie sich nicht langweilen!

Private Bootsfahrten und Hummerabenteuer sind auf Anfrage und gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr erhältlich. Owls Head Harbor bietet einen Bootsanleger an.

Quiet Getaway

House was perfect and cozy. Beds were great and there was ample space, with a full kitchen. Near the beach, restaurants and activities. The deck, fire pit and grill were nice touches. 5 stars.

Sea Rose Cottage

Beautiful old maine home..rustic and so comfy.Very clean, cozy, ocean side home…. Everything you need for a short or long stay.. Enjoyed the area and of course the great fire pit area. Such a warm and cozy home, even at less than 20degrees:) loved our long stay and would recommend it to anyone that wants a beautiful place to vacation..

Charming cottage

Wonderfully, charming cottage! The house had ample beds and spaces to sit and read or watch TV. Deck is spacious and there is a spot to build a fire. Close walk to a cute little lighthouse and up the street from the Owls head general store! House was comfortable and we’ll be sure to return when we are back in the area!

Very cute place!

The pictures are accurate and this place is lovely. Owners were very quick to respond to communication, and I didn’t have any problems during my visit, but if I had, it was nice to know they were on top of the correspondence. The only thing I would mention is that the bathroom is on the second floor and the shower door can be difficult to open, so if someone in your group has mobility issues, this might not be the place for you.

Beautiful area. Quaint house.

Our family visited Maine for the first time and this area was simply delightful. The lighthouse and general store are within walking distance which was a huge plus! Rockport, Rockland & Camden we’re within easy drive. The house is super cute. Kitchen is small and the lighting wasn’t great but not a big deal. Comfortable beds and nice shower. Tons of books throughout and even board/card games. Fire pit was an added bonus.

Picturesque Owls Head!

Beautiful property on level grassy lawn about 1/4 mile from the Owls Head General store and Lobster Pound. House has that old Maine camp feel but very charming. Nice large deck for enjoying reading and taking in the setting. Large living room, dbl bedroom downstairs and 2 good sized bedrooms on the second floor. We enjoyed biking and walking around the area. It's an easy walk to the Owls Head Lighthouse, great location. Thanks so much to owners for a fun stay!!

Very relaxing

Three of us stayed at this cabin for 3 nights in early July. It was a great location to see a lot of what we wanted to see in Rockland, Camden and Thomaston. We did a sunset cruise on A Morning in Maine sailboat that was amazing, and only 10 minutes drive. The house had comfy beds and a great deck for stargazing at night (with bug spray - lots of mosquitos!). Only issue we had was that the house got quite warm after a few 80 degree days, but we contacted the owner and were provided fans.

Quiet time

This was what I was looking for . Quiet , simple , clean . Might not be everyone’s cup of tea . Cellphone coverage was spotty . Not for the vertically advantaged, ceilings are low . Check-in directions did not match up with the property, my inquiry to the owner was unanswered, I figured it out, some people might get upset/confused, if arriving at night/in the dark could have been a problem .

Hi, We were disappointed that we were not able to see the harbor from the cottage. Besides that, the place was dirty with dirty towels on the back of the bathroom door & a dirty sock under the bed. The guest room upstairs looked like it has not been vacuumed in awhile as there was a lot of dust on the floor.

Enjoyed the location and yard

If you do a lot of cooking (and we do), the kitchen has limited surfaces to work in. Generally, there were supplies but some notable things missing -- no placemats, one dishtowel, no cheese grater. There were no instructions at the cottage about trash and recycling (I received that info the day before we checked out.) There was also a strange message about how generally the owners support carry-in/carry-out but for renter's convenience, they do have a trash service. That seems like it should be a given! Loved the setting and the firepit. The grill was also really useful. It's a lovely yard in a nice location.

A time to see lighthouses. Have family style meals together. Be near the ocean.

The porch door was broken when we arrived. Everything worked fine. Lightning in kitchen was a bit dim at night. We enjoyed the decorations. The light house was fun. We made day trips.

Amazing quiet location walking distance to Owl's Head Light

We loved staying here because of the location. Lighthouse, beaches, buying lobster right out of the ocean, sunrise and sunset ocean views, a quaint general store... were all within walking distance. 15 min drive to Rockland, the art capital of Maine. Everything at the house was as described.

Comfortable, relaxing retreat!

Our stay in Owl’s Head could only have been better if it had been longer! Shawn-Elise’s cottage is even better than the pictures in the listing. Roomy, homey, and all the touches you could need for a Maine vacation. We loved having morning coffee on the deck listening to the activity at the lobster pound. Ocean view and breeze were a great start to the day. Great location for exploring Rockland, Port Clyde, Boothbay Harbor, Bath, and Brunswick. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit as we were on the go the whole trip but it was a great setup. Explored many of Maine’s lighthouses starting with the one at the end of the road, great launching pad for sightseeing.

A perfect Maine vacation home

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Rose Cottage. The location was ideal, close to the Owl's Head Lighthouse park and another nature preserve. We loved sitting on the deck, looking across at the harbor and listening to the birds. It was an easy drive to Camden and Rockland but far from all the other tourists. The house is beautiful, with two huge bedrooms on the second floor and a cozy bedroom on the first floor. Our hosts were super friendly, gave clear instructions for everything, and responded quickly to all our e-mails. We were sad to leave and hope to come back again someday!

A little disappointed

We were disappointed in our stay. The kitchen was very rough-no light fixtures on the bulbs, the ceiling looked like someone had poked holes all over it, the cupboards were dirty on the outside and everything had a layer of dust on it. The whole house was dark, dusty and old. The new bathroom was great, the king size bed was nice and the linens were clean. It was close to the water and in a nice area.

Stayed 3 Months

This is a very comfortable home to stay in. We spent 3 months here while I was on a travel assignment. The landlords were very attentive to issues that arose. I can’t say enough great things. The view was great and if you like taking walks it’s great.

Perfect cottage in a Perfect Location

From the photos, I was very excited to lease Sea Rose Cottage for 4 nights over Thanksgiving for a gathering of 6 family members. What we didn’t know is that the cottage is larger than what the photos convey. It’s warm, cozy and beautiful. Each time we returned, we felt the charm and coziness again. The wood floors, trim and built-ins give that very warm look. Beds were comfy and linens high quality. The location is an easy walk to Owl’s Head Lighthouse, and there is easy access to the entire St. George-Rockland-Camden area. We took advantage of many of the choices, but we really enjoyed the time spent right there at the cottage, playing games and watching “The Crown.” There was plenty of room for 6 adults, and the single bathroom was no problem at all. Shawn-Elise made it so very easy to book and receive all details. We hope to return and highly recommend this cottage!!

The lovely home and view was so peaceful and accommodating . We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed.. we walked across to the Lobster company and bought fresh lobster off the boat. We had everything needed - a large pot and the gas grill eye I would encourage others to take a week and stay and relax- so peaceful
