Amazing vacation

The unit was very nice, better than anticipated. We had an issue with the door lock, contacted the host and they were very quick to resolve the issue. The area is beautiful, we have been to the area several times, but staying here made this one of our most enjoyable vacations.

Nice but won't stay again

The property is as advertised; spacious with a comfortable bed, big balcony, clean. Unfortunately, I spent one night sopping up water after the toilet overflowed (which was a past issue based on a past review I found). The next day they sent someone to fix the chain in the toilet that was causing the tank to overflow but I asked to be reimbursed for the one night that I spent cleaning and doing laundry since I had to use every towel and mop I could find. They refused despite having sent video, pictures and the screenshot of the review that was posted back in March 2024. They then wanted to replace the entire toilet but I was too nervous to have something else go wrong during my vacation. Playa Royal in itself has also changed, my family, who had rented a different condo, and I were told multiple times to move from our beach spot or from one of the pools since they were "private" despite the areas being empty. I personally, as well as many friends and family members, have stayed at Playa Royal many times, and for this price, I think there are other options and properties that would be better.

Excellent location and accommodation

I would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect beachfront location in Nuevo Vallarta. I've stayed at a few beachfront hotels in the area and they never have enough seats on the beach. This location had plenty. The room was spacious for our week stay, plus they had a nice kitchen. It's walking distance to a market and good restaurants. Plus 20-30 minutes to Puerto Vallarta, if you plan to go. Our host Itzel was super helpful and responded quickly if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this place.

Beach Walking

Beach walking by and in the ocean on beautiful sandy beach. Palapa time with great food and beverage service. Great ocean. Nice pool & hot tub open till 11:00 pm. Also shallow wading pool for young children. Safe and fun for the whole family. Probably too quiet for young adults but excellent if they just want to unwind and relax.

Escape from winter

This was our 5th time staying at Playa Royale. You can walk kms along the sandy beach. Each unit is different depending on the tower, floor or size of the unit. This time staying in a studio worked out well for us. King sized bed was very comfortable and balcony was big enough for just two of us. I recommend the owner invest in new cushions for the two wooden loungers and two chairs on the balcony. This would make a huge difference for comfort of guests.

Beautiful days!

Since 2010 we come to Playa Royale and always love it. Beautiful place to stay, the condos have everything to enjoy a great time. Only a minus is about the uses of the "palapas", please the administration do something about it. We have the right to use more palapas, specially if it is less than 5% occupied even in high season. For the rest, it is our favourite place to be. Love it!!

5 night stay i 5th floor studio condo

Playa Royale is the premier choice in Nuevo Vallarta for a truly restful vacation experiences. The place is spotless, the staff is so helpful and nice, and I appreciate the enforcement of the noise guidelines. Plus the drinks and food are excellent and fairly priced. My only complaint is that our unit had terrible pots, pans, and knives and the pads on the lounges need to be replaced.

Lovely stay - unfortunate Playa Royale no longer allows Beach Club access

The apartment is just as described. Very large, nicely decorated and very comfortable. A few things to know: - no bathroom soap - no dishwasher - TV didn’t have English channels. Not a big deal but sometimes it’s nice to watch a little TV. My major issue is with the Playa Royale complex. They recently changed a policy and they no longer allow renters to have Beach Club access which means there are only a few beach palapa’s you can choose at the beach (colour coded) so there may not be enough for all renters. And they are located furthest from the water. Additionally you cannot use one of the pools. This was not advertised in the rental information, I only found out 1 day before arriving. If I knew this I wouldn’t go to Playa Royale. Renters are treated like second-class citizens. It’s very sad as I used to really enjoy Playa Royale. I doubt I will go to this complex again due to the Beach Club policy. The reason we go to Nuevo Vallarta is because of the beach.

Un studio parfait pour un couple.

Le studio très bien tenu dans un emplacement idéal de Nuevo Vallarta. La proximité du petit centre commercial Paradise avec son épicerie Sunset permet une vacance sans voiture. Cette année, une dispute entre le Complexe Playa Royale et un Club de plage a compliqué notre accès à la plage sans payer un supplément. Espérons que ça se reglera.

Lovely studio condo

Great studio overlooking kids pool and gardens . Peak a boo ocean view. Well equipped kitchen No dishwasher . Nice beach towels No phone in unit . Made it difficult to contact front security or reception . I would recommend a phone land line be installed -in case of emergency or maintenance issue that needs urgent on-site attention . Or contact other residents in the complex. Property describes as a loft -but not sure what makes it a loft ? Overall great stay in this studio .

We’re treated very badly at the beach. We should have been told at the time of booking that we could only use the back row (8spots) of the beach. Help was very arrogant. Kick us out of spots even when beach was empty. Will never go back. Like I said you should have told us about the restrictions, if we had known we would not of booked there.

Great getaway!

Property was beautiful. Paolo the agencies’s representative responded quickly and answered our questions and did what he could.He was easy to get ahold of and got back to us. The condo was very clean, bed super comfortable. It would be nice if you provided salt and pepper , bottled water and coffee for the first evening. There was construction going on everyday at the complex and in our building. The elevator wasn’t operational the whole time we were there. Our unit was on the 5th floor, so it became an issue. One morning we woke up to no water. We were informed that all the owners were told of the construction be we were not informed about it. It is a beautiful place and everyone was very nice and as helpful as they could be. Just wish we were told about the construction.

Studio suitable for couple

The leasing agency and contact Tanya were very responsive to questions and requests.This is a studio, not one bedroom but is very spacious, clean and has a well-equipped kitchen, except for dishwasher. The bed is very comfortable, there is a large balcony, a washer dryer in unit, and supplies like paper towels and dish soap are provided. One important item missing is a safe. A comfortable chair, lamp on dresser and better outdoor furniture would be improvements
