SUMMARY

Mountain Star #18 is a bright & quiet townhome offering 1,450 square feet over 3 levels, with slate tile entry, heated slate floors plus pine cabinetry and wood accents throughout. Wonderful southwest Rainbow Mountain views, a private hot tub, and a vaulted ceiling complete this mountainside home. Park right near your unit to unload and access the home with no stairs involved!

Just 200 metres from the slopes of Blackcomb, you can ski out to the new Blackcomb Gondola and be ready to start your ski day. End your day by taking the Lower Cruiser green run to within 20 feet of your front door (weather permitting) and taking a soak in the private outdoor hot tub. If you're not skiing, the free shuttle runs all year long every 15 mins until 1 AM and stops right in front of the complex. It's a short ride to all the shops, restaurants and amenities in the village!

Enter your main-floor foyer with clothing and gear storage plus outside locker for skis, boards, bikes and golf clubs. The kitchen features heated tiled flooring, stainless steal appliances and a De'Longhi Espresso Machine. This open concept floor plan featuring vaulted ceilings throughout then leads you to your beautiful, modern dining area. Enjoy southwest views from your comfy living room with great sofas and chairs around the beautiful stone enclosed gas fireplace and flat screen TV. Here you can step out onto your private balcony and enjoy a BBQ while admiring the spectacular mountain views.

BEDROOMS

The top floor features your spacious primary bedroom with a luxurious king bed, TV and plenty of storage space with double closets. The en-suite includes heated tiled flooring, a soaker tub and shower.

The lower floor has one bedroom and one den, full bath and a private outdoor hot tub. The second bedroom has plenty of space and features a King bed, which leads you onto your private patio where your hot tub awaits you! In the enclosed den you have 2 twin beds. Please note, there is no window in the den. On this floor you also have in-suite laundry and the full bath which features heated tiled flooring and a glass enclosed shower with double shower heads.

Christmas holiday

We had a wonderful time at Mountain Star 18 especially being so close to the slopes. It is about a 5 minute walk to the ski in/ ski out. Also, if you need to rent ski or snowboard gear that is in the hotel next to the ski in/ski out. The communication with the management company was excellent. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the primary bedroom bed, for us it was incredibly uncomfortably hard and non supportive. If you’re used to a softer bed I’d recommend bringing a mattress pad. Other than the bed the accommodations were as described and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great ski vacation

Communication was outstanding all throughout the process. Aloha helped book transportation from airport. The condo is about an 8 minute walk to ski slope. Very easy in full ski gear. There was terrible snow so could not ski to path right next to the condo on way out. So just walked up road again on way back. The whistler 5 shuttle stops at entrance to condo area and was very convenient to get around. We usually walked down ski slope to upper and lower villages then took 5 bus back up. We liked that it was quiet in the area. The condo was clean, grill was great, hot tub was great. No bathroom on main entry floor so have to go up or downstairs. Beds were not the most comfortable but just fine. Kitchen had all the cooking stuff you need. Overall would stay here again.

Ski week with adult family members

This property had a great location as it was a short walk to trail to bottom of Blackcomb gondola and shuttle stop for trips into the village. Unfortunately we didn’t get to take advantage of ski in trail due to poor ski conditions.

Whistler perfection

Loved everything about this stay. Nestled into the winter forest - the scenery made it cosy and great spot to walk the dog. The beds were super comfy & hot tub squeaky clean. The BBQ came in handy! This condo had a great layout for our adult kids. Lots of space. Hope to come again!

Didn't meet expectations

This place did not meet our expectations. The main level has no bathroom, only an upstairs and downstairs bathroom, and the stairs are a lot and verryyyy steep. The parking situation is/was terrible. You can hardly even park outside your house to unload ALL of your stuff without multiple tow trucks coming to tow you. Do not leave your car idling out there for more than 2 minutes alone because someone will tow you (even if to unload!!). We thought there was one parking space for us and then one in the garage for our visitor, but that was not the case. You have to park all cars in the garage and it is a PAIN, let me tell you. It was not super dog friendly for our dogs to go to the bathroom. There were no blankets on the main floor to just hang out in and cuddle up in. It was just not very inviting and not homey. Location to shopping/village/skiing was good, and the communication from the property manager was great, but other than that, we did not enjoy our stay here. Sadly.

Nice stay in the Upper Village!

We had a great stay in the Upper Village. The property manager was helpful and responsive whenever we had questions. The townhouse was clean and kitchen was well stocked with cookware. Hot tub was also great to have daily! Unfortunately due to the low snow, we couldn't use the ski in path but the ski run is just down the street.

Great communication, excellent location

A great location on Blackcomb and very easy process communicating with the rental group. The only issue we had was that the hot tub was broken for the entirety of our stay. Management was very helpful and easy to get a hold of and allowed us to use the hot tub in the next door unit which was vacant.

Fantastic townhouse

Very nice place to stay for a family ski trip. All the comforts of home PLUS heated floors! Only complaint is no main floor bathroom, and the ski in part is a little higher ski level than some in our group. Checkin was a bit weird, getting our codes 30 minutes AFTER our checkin time, and only after we called for it. Not everyone has a global calling plan, so the checkin email on the day before would have been preferred so I didnt have to have additional cellular fees. But we loved the house & would definitely stay again.
