Situated in the south-east of town, with sweeping views to Cornish Hill in the south, our charming Cottage offers you an idyllic quiet getaway, near enough yet far enough from town. A pleasant walk on reasonably flat land can get you into town, or take the hilly route for your daily exercise. There are many walking tracks nearby, through the Cornish Hill diggings and Thomas’ lookout.

The Cottage sleeps 4 in 1 x King and 1 x Queen and can allow up to 2 extra guests in foldabeds.

Wrap-around verandahs keep the Cottage cool in Summer and the vantage points offer day long sunshine on those crisp and sunny days.

A pleasant stay

We had a lovely 3-night stay at this accommodation. The property was comfortable and met our needs well. The location was convenient, and it was a bonus to find a pet-friendly place where our dog could join us. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Booked for 4 Adults 1 child and 1 pet. No bed for the child only a fold up bed and no fence for pets open area. Will not book again.

We liked the property and it was very well presented. However, there are some small things which we were missing: minimal cutlery and no steak knifes, 14 champagne glasses (!) and ONE (1) wine glass, no BBQ but lots of things we didn't require or need

Fantastic little house

The house is beautiful and clean, very well maintained, has everything you need and if you can’t find something, the shops are 4 minutes away, we had to get some charcoal and kindling other than that everything is there, We arrive around 2:30, parked the car and went for a walk, then back at around 3:00 My son have been on medication for ADHD, ASD, he loved the place specially the secret room ( walk WD ) at the master bedroom, it get really cold in the morning but warm up very quickly. Chelsea was very understanding of our request of early check in I’ll recommend this place to all my friends and I hope we can get to stay there again The only thing I wish was different was the bed in the other bedroom, I wish it was two single beds that’s all David Ayres

Cosy and Great location

The house is lovely, with great views, warm, very well furnished and has almost everything we need for a comfortable stay. The area is peaceful and quiet too. It would be perfect if the outdoor area is fenced in for the dogs and the main bedroom had block out blinds. However, overall we had a great time, and would highly recommend this place.

Nice property

Lovely property in a quiet attractive area. Enjoyed our short stay, relaxing only a little spoilt by the very cold bedroom with no heater! What we thought was the master bedroom with ensuite also didn’t have an electric blanket so overall too cold with prevented a good nights sleep. Apart from that a very nice property.

What a fabulous place to stay. The house had absolutely everything we needed. It was not quite dog proof - would have been great if the verandah was fenced the whole way around! The house is so well equiped. Absolutely everything you need in the kitchen, an abundance of games and books. We really wanted to stay more than the two nights! Could easily have enjoyed a week.

A perfect home away from home

Such a beautiful property and stunning location. The owner has thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable including an amazing selection of books and a record player and records. We loved just sitting on the verandah looking at the beautiful view. It was a thoroughly peaceful and relaxing getaway. Highly recommended.

Glorious forest views

We had a lovely stay. Views from the extensive verandah and comfortable outdoor seating - a real treat! The property is on a large site but is not fully fenced so not fully pet friendly if you are brining a four-legged friend. Thank you Chelsea.

Daylesford delight

This was a great, relaxing stay, the scenery was glorious, the solitude was lovely, the house cosy and relaxing and the bookcase - a reader's delight! Chelsea was easy to deal with and responsive.
