Guest Access:
Key code access will be provided in the days prior to your arrival for seamless check-in. Two parking passes will be provided during you stay. Parking pass must be displayed in vehicle throughout your stay in Shipyard.

The Neighborhood:

Located in the Shipyard Community, the Evian neighborhood offers beaches, a community pool, tennis courts, a picnic area, and golf.  Enjoy easy days relaxing in the sun, sand and surf on some of the best beaches in the country. Getting Around:
The pool, tennis courts, and beach are all walkable. Breeze Shuttle is available mid-March through October outside of the Shipyard gate to get you to shopping, restaurants, or the public beach. A parking pass is available for the Shipyard amenities, and the beach has public parking as well.

Other Things to Note:
Bugs
We get asked about Palmetto Bugs all the time. Yes, these are roaches and are found pretty much everywhere outside in South Carolina but we like to call them Palmetto Bugs as it makes them sound nicer! They can be pretty big, can fly and will scurry around the floor but they are largely harmless. They do occasionally come inside, especially at night and during or after any storms. Rest assured all of our homes are professionally treated monthly for pests. Any bugs that manage to get inside will die quickly.

According to Eric Benson, Ph.D. professor and extension entomologist at Clemson University “It has nothing to do with cleanliness or the economic conditions of the area,” said Benson. “They could be around the nicest home or the nicest hotel or resort.”

If you leave the doors or windows open, especially at night, you will likely see a few. This is perfectly normal. If you see 20 or 30 all in one place then please let us know. This might mean we have a nest somewhere in the home and we'll need to get pest control out to take care of it. This is extremely rare!

Please don't worry about bugs, enjoy your vacation. You'll likely not see any while you are here, we just include this note so you understand it's not unusual to see some and it doesn't mean the home isn't well looked after!

This was our second year in a row

We love the location and the spaciousness of the condo. We've stayed here for the last two years and will book again. The management was quick to respond to any inquiries and promptly replaced a broken coffee pot the same day.

HHI for 20 years

The Extra Mile

This place gpes the extra mile in taking care of you. Coffee and filters provided, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, including a hair dryer. Soap at all sinks, toilet paper for our entire week's stay, paper towels, sugar, tea. Plus the beach stuff. Heated dryer in the master bath was amazing! Would definitely stay here again. Back patio was the best so far that we have experienced at The Shipyard.

Property was nice and clean. There was suppose to be gas for the outdoor grill in two tanks but both tanks were empty. We had to go and find a place to exchange one of the tanks. Long walk to beach and parking is limited for beach parking.

Lieblingsort Hilton Head Island

Sehr schönes großzügiges Haus direkt am Golfplatz. Lässt keine Wünsche offen. Schöne Lage in üppiger Vegetation. Zu bemängeln ist nur die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, die Zugangsdaten zum Haus wurden erst nach stundenlangen Telefonaten am Anreisetag mitgeteilt, lt. FeWo sollen sie dem Mieter 3 Tage vorher mitgeteilt werden.

Lots good, some bad

We appreciated the well supplied kitchen and the opportunity to connect to our Netflix account. It was very quiet outdoors but noisy indoors. Some rugs are needed under the chairs which are very noisy when moved and in the living room. The place overall was okay but needs an updated kitchen and bathrooms. Finally, it was mid to late April and we wanted to eat outdoors. The entire patio area and all the furniture was filthy. The chair cushions were filthy and seemed to be home to mosquitoes which we saw no where else. The table had wax drippings on it and paint chipped off the edges. The privacy wall on the BBQ side was filthy and covered in dirty drip marks. There was an abandoned screen door leaning against the house. It is false advertising to portray a villa with a nice patio when it is not the case.

One of the doors in the kitchen would not lock. Another door was allowing rain water to seep in to the kitchen. There was a roach and other bugs in the kids bedroom upstairs. Other than that we had an enjoyable time.

Nice place to stay.

We had a great time. It was clean and had plenty of amenities. It was within walking distance to the pool, tennis courts, and beach access. The only problem is that our master bedroom downstairs had no air conditioning. We had two fans and it was still super hot. We requested that it be fixed. The maintenance quay said there was no air coming in through the vents. He said there was nothing he could do. I would recommend this condo only if they fixed the air. Everything else was perfect!

Lovely stay in Evian!

Our stay was really nice. They had everything we needed! The only issue we had was some of the doors were a little sticky and hard to open for our little ones... not anything major. The place was neat and clean and we really enjoyed our stay. The property was lovely and everyone was really friendly. Thank you for everything!
