Hello. We arrived on Saturday, April 3 expecting to check into the summit condos unit number 34 at Forrester. Instead, we were surprised to find no lockbox on the door and no information as to how to check in. I called twice that evening and left somewhat frantic messages as we had no place to stay.
With no response back, I searched availability the same night. It was roughly 10:30 PM at this point so you can imagine how limited the options were. We ended up booking at the Westin, Which cost our family of 4 over 600 dollars for the evening.
On Sunday morning I called at roughly 930 and spoke to Ryan, who said he was just about to call me. He explained that we received an email with check in information And that the keys were waiting for us all along at the mammoth reservations office. I explained to him, That the VRBO information on the condo describes a code for the unit but does not mention anything about checking in to a different place. And, in fact, we did not receive any check in information via email. I confirmed that by searching through all of my inboxes including my spam filter. I explain to Ryan that we were substantially put out financially and from a convenience standpoint, as we had to move our gear and groceries multiple times. I said that I expected some form of compensation for the first night, at the very least a credit for the night’s stay. He assured me that someone will get back to us, “probably not today because it’s Easter, but definitely by Monday“. At this point, it’s Monday evening at 4:20 PM and I have not heard from anyone in your office.
Please reply confirming that I will be credited AT A MINIMUM for the first night stay as J incurred over $600 for that room night.
