Hot tub that wasn’t working.

Contacted the owner many time to come fix the hot tub that wasn't working. On Saturday I clean the filters and on Sunday which was check out day at 11am it finally was heating up to 92 degrees. The owner said to switch the temperature to warm so it could heat up. The temperature was set to 92 degrees, but showed as 73 degrees on the panel. So cleanly it wasn't working the light outside that indicate the hot tub had not turned on. I rented the house because of the hot tub, I also asked for at least half of the refund, since I was doing the owner job on trying to figure out why it wasn’t heating up. Well at least the next renters can enjoy it. Thanks David first time renting on VRBO and it was a terrible experience.He also said he wasn't taking a rating lower then 4.3.

4 stars for location (house is tired and in need of a refresh)

This house has an excellent location, close to great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. ShopBar, in particular, is a must-visit, with a fantastic bartender and a friendly atmosphere. Being within walking distance of so many local spots is definitely the highlight. However, the house itself needs some attention. It's quite tired and could use a refresh. There are visible stains and ripped pillows and cushions throughout. The kitchen is sparsely equipped—barely enough glasses and mugs for four people, and no basic supplies beyond a two-day supply of coffee. The bedding is old and in need of an update, and there were no extra blankets or supplies provided. Several windows, including those in the bedrooms, either lack coverings or have ripped curtains, which can be an issue for privacy. The layout of the master bedroom is odd, requiring you to walk through the bathroom to enter it, and there’s a noticeable musty smell. The master shower is large but had mold in the corners, and the lack of a shade over a large window means neighbors can see in. The main floor bedroom door doesn’t close properly (it's a converted living room or den and sits adjacent to dining room), and the back deck is in poor shape, with steps falling apart and only three outdoor chairs available. Overall, while the location is fantastic, the house could greatly benefit from some updates and attention to detail to make it a more comfortable stay.

Farm Show Week

Property was exactly as described. Everyone had plenty of room and commented on how nice the house is. Quiet neighborhood and thankful for a place to park that is off of the street. Only thing missing in the house were the dishtowels and dishcloths in the kitchen. This property will stay at the top of my list as a place to stay again.

We really enjoyed the property! The bedrooms are really nice, the kitchen is really great for easy cooking and cleaning up. The favorite part was probably the hot tub!! We all enjoyed that! Close to everything we wanted to go to.

PERFECT Location & Lots of Room

We LOVED the location of the home. We walked just about every street in the Highlands during our stay and were never too far from the house. The house is older, so it isn't perfect BUT it was clean and comfortable. The deck and hot tub were big bonus after walking all day. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Birthday getaway

Upon arriving we were greeted by a broken/rotting bottom step. Luckily it was the bottom step so we were able to step over it with no issue. The house was nice but could have used a deep cleaning. This house did not have basic food essentials...salt, pepper, oil etc...be prepared to buy everything! The sky light in the up stairs bedroom didnt close all the way. If it would have rained it would have leaked. None of the exterior doors have latches. They just have a lock and they arent all deadbolts. The neighbors to the left were nice and welcoming. The neighborhood hood was nice and friendly! Walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping! You can hear the traffic, music and people from the upstairs room and downstairs room facing the street. The hot tub was nice and clean but a little low on water. Over all we had a good stay and no major issues!

Cute house and great location!

I stayed in this house with a group of 9 girls for a moms weekend away. It was a really cute house with plenty of space. We loved how close it was to restaurants, coffee shops and bars. It was also only about 10-15 minutes away from some great shopping. We'd definitely stay here again!

Rodents…Don’t Stay..Non responsive Host

Rodents ate our food in the kitchen while we were out for the evening..they dragged food across counter and gnawed through packages. Contacted the owner through email and text with no response. We stayed first night and left in morning because of the conditions. Owner never responded until the check out email. Asked for compensation just for second night since we left and had to find another place to stay. The response was exactly this, When a guest books a house, we hold that home for them. It’s not a “show up and see if we like it” sort of thing. We did not show up and say we didn’t like it..we left next day because of rodents in the house. I would not stay here if I were you!!!!

Spacious house

3 women in Louisville for shopping, the Jack o lantern fest and visiting grown children who live there. House is very spacious. Bedrooms are large and could easily accommodate air mattresses for children if needed. Stairs are old attic stairs and narrow and steep making hauling larger luggage up difficult. 2 full bathrooms upstairs. There is only a large half bath downstairs so anyone staying in bedroom downstairs would have to go up to take a shower or bath. The bedroom downstairs is street side so you get a considerable amount of street noise. One bedroom upstairs had a sky window that did not close properly. There was a gap in lower corner that had it been raining would’ve had water dripping in. There are dogs next door that barked early but owner is very cognizant and takes them back inside when they start. The owner was quickly responsive when I had trouble opening lockbox but that was the only response I got from any communication, including alerting to the sky window that wouldn’t close. We did not use the hot tub so I don’t know if it was clean or dirty based on previous reviews. The next door neighbor did confirm the previous review about the moms group that had to clean it themselves after someone had thrown up in the hot tub. There is a cool looking bar across the street and a nice little bakery/cafe for breakfast a couple of blocks away. Beds are comfortable if you like foam mattresses (which I do). Over all it suited us well.

Lots of Room and Great Locale!

I was pleasantly surprised at how roomy the home is. Only my husband and I stayed here for a short getaway, but it sure was nice to not have to share a bathroom. The decor is beautiful and calming, check in was easy and we really appreciated the off-street parking. Also, shops and restaurants are in walking distance ... nice!

6 Moms invade Louisville

The parking in the back was nice so cars were not on road however after it rained getting to them was a challenge. LOTS OF MUD with only a stone path that stopped at another GINORMOUS puddle. This particular house was chosen because of the hot tub it advertised. When opening it, it was half full & as green as granny's pond because the chlorine was empty...PLUS it had what could only be described as a brown butt stain on the filter cover. Also the screen was flashing protective mode & needed the breaker flipped which was not easy to find. We text the owner & he said he was going to send someone....NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP. After that he no longer answered text or calls. So being the moms we are we drained, cleaned & filled it, even though by the time we got it filled it was time to leave. The pantry is bare & the memory foam mattress was not fun to sleep on either. If you are expecting perks this is not your place.

Great house! Hot tub questionable.

The house was very clean with comfortable beds and quality furniture. Great TV room for lounging. Overall good experience however initial communication with property manager was frustrating and the hot tub water smelled strange and didn’t seem very clean. Still a good stay in a nice area.
