Comfortable house in a gorgeous, peaceful location with open views out to sea.
The house itself is “Bach-like”. The main bedroom inside and the semi-detached bedroom are very specious. The third bedroom is quite tight with a bunk bed over the queen bed. There is plenty of seating in the lounge area and the single beds by the window are nice to lounge on and contemplate the view, albeit they do make the space a little crowded.
We would have given a higher review but just felt that the house could do with some tlc. The outside of the house and back garden are looking pretty shabby. Not really any nice space to sit outside. Inside, the fridge was missing a vege drawer, meaning that the bottom of the fridge had a space that wasn’t able to be used (very constraining on the fridge capacity), kitchen cupboards and drawers looked like things had been thrown in there and not touched for years, some items were rusted and/or dirty, the odd collection of glassware couldn’t even produce 6 wine glasses. We also felt the house clean had not been completed when we arrived. Sheets etc were still sitting in the dryer, dirty towels still hanging in the bathrooms, unpleasant odour in the semi-detached bedroom/bathroom, cleaning cloths left out, and the recycling bin was absolutely full to the brim leaving us no space for any of our recycling. Supplies were also pretty limited with only half a toilet roll in one bathroom, none in the other, only a tiny amount of soap that soon ran out etc.
We still enjoyed our stay, but we felt the house was trading on its view and that a lot of these issues could have been easily avoided. A bit more care and attention is required for the price of the house.
