Property Description

"The Resort at 222" is an amazing, centrally located home in Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Upstairs, the enormous living area (with smart TV, Foxtel & Netflix and brand new couches) provides access to the large 2nd floor deck. The Master bedroom (with TV) has a WIR and ensuite (with shower and toilet), while the other two bedrooms on this level share the main bathroom (featuring a spa-bath with shower over, and toilet).

Downstairs, is the open plan living/dining (with smart TV) and kitchen area and access to the two outdoor entertaining areas. Bedroom 2 has a TV and BIR, and shares a large main bathroom (with a shower, toilet and laundry facilities) with Bedroom 3 (also with BIR).

Outdoor Areas

The centrepiece of this amazing home is the outdoor, undercover 8 seater spa on the back deck. The back deck also has both undercover and outdoor seating, for up to 12 overall and has a 4 burner BBQ. Opening off this area is a large fully enclosed backyard. The Alfresco area at the front with servery windows from the kitchen provides another option for entertaining. The front yard also has a long side driveway with space for 3 cars or cars and a boat. At the front, the off main road laneway also offers further ample street parking. There is a double garage with a table tennis table and 5 in 1 multi game table (therefore not available for guest parking). The upstairs deck provides a lovely sheltered place for enjoying the peaceful ambience.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with standard cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, coffee machine (Nespresso Vertuo), toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, corner pantry, large fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are three wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioners (one in each living area, plus one in main upstairs bedroom), two ceiling fans in the upstairs living area and there are 5 mobile oil heaters and pedestal fans to be used in the bedrooms or as required.

Bedroom Configuration:

This home has 9 beds, plus one ottoman style bed, accommodating up to 12 guests:

Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed plus one ottoman style Single bed

Bedroom 5 (Upstairs): One Double bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, * check in times * are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional * linen hire * over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Stayed here with my family and everything was amazing. It was super close to everything you could need. Everything in the house was well thought out and it felt super spacious. Everyone kept commenting on what an amazing find it was. Would definitely pick as my number 1 spot to book again!

Hot tub was magic
Fantastic location, walking distance from shops and beach, but also felt quite private. Plenty of heaters for the winter month and the hot tub while it was raining outside was perfect! Cool gaming area with ping pong and fusball table. We really appreciated the little notes around the house which explained bits and bobs. Check out procedure straight forward. Highly recommend

nice home for a group of 6 girls
Plenty of beds, almost all had a separate room, for a house than can sleep 12, not enough couches, but we made do with the 3 seater anda couple of chairs. Nice an close to shops with RSL across the road Had a great time, would book again

Unfortunately I don't have many positive things to say about this property. We frequent Phillip Island almost every year and since our go to holiday house is no longer available we tried this one. We are a large family of 7 adults and 6 children (10,9,8,4 2.5 and 1 years old). Upon entry this house it felt smaller than the photos in many aspects, the dinning table was only catering for 6 people which made dinner time interesting. The lounge space was absurd for the amount the house can hold with one 2-3 seater downstairs and a 3 seater upstairs with child like miniature furniture also placed up on the second floor. There was no comfy place to sit and relax with all the seating being uncomfortable. The kitchen was poorly stocked with adequate pots/pans. We had to buy our own fry pan and large soup pot to get by. The induction cooker was not ideal to cook on and the BBQ being only a two burner meant we had to cook in batches. The beds were extremely uncomfortable with poor quality mattresses, doonas and pillows. The Ottoman was still broken (as a previous review states). Everything furnishing wise seemed to have come from kmart, Ikea or alike and it was clear in that not much felt sturdy or comfortable. There was a terrible smell in the kitchen and when we looked behind the fridge we found mouse poo and a open cavity, and more disturbing was the deodoriser to mask the smell (indicating this is an ongoing problem) this was reported to the property manager and hopefully the owner fixes this as the smell is disgusting and takes over the kitchen dinning area. Lastly the upstairs balcony should not be used as we had two adults walk out on it and it shook, I'd be surprised if this passes building code. We did not use it after this. Location wise it was about 20 minute walk to shops and across from the RSL. I hate to be so negative but we really couldn't see many positives in this property at all and definitely would not book again.

Amazing!
The house is so amazing! It was clean and tidy, and so much space. It was absolutely stunning. The location was just perfect, we walked to Cowes town every day and it was a short drive to every where we wanted to go. The hosts are so nice and made check in/check out so easy. We will 100% be coming back!

A Few issues, but a lovely place to spend with friends and family
Check in was very smooth and the entire house was very clean and bright. Did have an issue with the fold out bed being broken- we reported it and had no response, which was a bit tricky as we had a large group. Also found that the dining areas didn't really accommodate the large group size, but we made do with what we had. Spa and table tennis table was a big hit and everything else was really great!
