"Reel Livin" von seiner besten Seite. Dieses gut ausgestattete, makellose Haus am See mit großen A-Frame-Fenstern (vorne und am See) wird alle Urlaubsbedürfnisse befriedigen. Große und ruhige Bucht mit tiefem Wasser (7 Fuß am Ende des Docks und 11-12 Fuß in der Mitte). Mit 4 Schlafzimmern, 4 Bädern und 2 Wohnbereichen gibt es viel Platz zum Entspannen und Spielen. Die Hauptebene verfügt über eine gut ausgestattete Küche, die sich zu einem geräumigen Essbereich hin öffnet (ein großer Tisch bietet Platz für 12 Gäste), ein großes Zimmer mit einem TV und einem Gaskamin sowie zwei bequemen Schlafsofas (Q). Das Hauptschlafzimmer (K) mit en-suite Whirlpool-Badewanne und begehbarer Dusche, das 2. Schlafzimmer (Q) und ein zusätzliches Vollbad befinden sich ebenfalls auf der Hauptebene. Beide Schlafzimmer sind zum See hin ausgerichtet und verfügen über eine Scheune und Glastüren, die den Zugang zum See erleichtern. Die untere Etage verfügt über einen entspannenden TV-Bereich mit einem Gaskamin, ein Spielzimmer mit einem 8-Zoll-Billardtisch und 4 Kapitänsstühlen. Darüber hinaus bietet die untere Ebene ein 2. Hauptschlafzimmer (Q) mit eigenem Bad, einen Schlafraum mit 2 Etagenbetten (T) und Klappbett (Q), ein Vollbad und einen Waschraum mit 2. Schlafraum großer Kühlschrank. Summer vacay

Great Lake House!

This lake house was ideal for our family vacation. The home was spacious, very clean, with a well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. A highlight of the house is the great dock with endless opportunity for fun in the water. The beautiful quiet cove was great for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. The close proximity to main lake was perfect for boating and tubing. Our whole family agreed this Lake Gaston house was ideal!

We had an incredible two weeks in this home! It’s perfect for everyone—singles, families, teens, and couples. The fun never stops, with kayaking, swimming, floating, grilling, and game nights. Some even worked remotely in between! The house is beautifully laid out with stylish décor, featuring a main-floor living room, a game room, a water-view deck, and a patio with rocking chairs. The spacious dock, beach area, and paddle boat are fantastic for making summer memories. The owner is incredibly responsive, and the friendly neighbors add to the charm. This place is more than just a rental; it’s the perfect summer escape!

Best location on the lake

This is our second stay - we love this house and the location! The homeowner is always helpful and responsive. Our stay met all of our needs from watching sunsets, swimming in the cove, ice cream at the marina and trips to Shady Shack.

Great to be back!

This was our second time staying in this home, and we enjoyed it just as much this time as last. We rented a boat for the week and enjoyed the water. We swam off the end of the dock. My kids caught fish. The kitchen is well appointed, and we did plenty of cooking. We took daily walks on the quiet roads in the vicinity. Any minor question we had was quickly taken care of by Keith. One in our party has mobility issues, and this house works very well for that purpose with a gently sloping yard going down to the dock and multiple bedrooms on the main floor. I am sure we will be back.

Excellent vacation home

Beautiful house, clean and well maintained with a great lawn area in front and back. Lake is very accessible by dock or from the back yard. Lots of extras like kayaks, paddleboat, pool table, ping pong table, and cornhole kept us entertained all week. Communication with owner was top notch.

Fantastic Family Getaway

Everyone had a fantastic time! The home was lovely with plenty of space to spread out. Boat dock area allowed for gathering and activities. The quiet lakeside cove made it great for friends and family to unwind and have fun. The paddle boat, fire pit, kayaks, ping-pong and hammock were bigs hits for all. Wonderful Getaway.

This was the first time renting this VRBO and it was great. Located on a cove just off the main lake was great and there was room to tie up our two boats. Also, plenty of water for swimming off the boathouse. The house was roomy, nicely decorated, and the kitchen was hands down the best equipped of any place I have rented. Plenty of dishware, silverware, and a wide assortment of appliances. Also, the plethora of board games and quality pool table were a pleasant surprise. Definitely on the list to rent again.

A fantastic lake house!

Reel Livin is a fantastic property! We spent a week there with another family and had a great time. We brought our 24ft boat and the quiet cove was perfect for keeping it along side of the dock. The house had everything we needed! The kids enjoyed fishing, kyaking, and paddle boating every day. The large dock and quiet cove were perfect for swimming, and the fire pit beach area was great for evening smores. We were also very impressed with how clean the property was when we arrived.

Great Lake House

This is a wonderful place to stay. Our group ages ranged from 3-87 years old and everyone had plenty of space. Great location in a quiet cove off main lake. Owner Keith was quick to respond to any questions and even got in touch with us to make sure check-in had gone smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the week and are ready to come back again next year. One of the best homes on Lake Gaston!

A much needed family (& friends) vacation was thoroughly enjoyable at Reel Livin’! Super clean and layout was amazing! Plenty of room & tons of activities for all ages…wonderful cove to tie off floats and rafts, boat house with ladder & sandy beach, fire pit, kayaks, paddle boat, pool table, ping pong, corn hole, or straight relaxing in the comforts of a home away from home! Favorite Lake House for Bro-Treat

We are four men who are in our 50-60’s range and lifelong friends. We love the serenity of this lake plus the immaculate condition of this home. We enjoy to fish, kayak, play pool, and hang out together, so this is our perfect place for our annual bro-treat. The house is airy and bright with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner, Keith, is awesome and easy to work with concerning the home and your needs. We will be back next year for our 4th bro-treat!

Beautiful home located on quiet cove

Great property with room for everyone. Unfortunately rain kept us indoors most of our week but five adults, a teen, and two children had plenty of room to spread out. The house could easily accommodate many more. When the weather allowed we spent a lot of time on the dock fishing, swimming and kayaking. The cove is very quiet with minimal boat/jet ski traffic. The kayaks provided are functional but have seen better days - missing seats, leaking hulls, broken clips, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, baking sheets, dishes, cups, and silverware. A second refrigerator on the lower level is great for beverages or when refrigerator in kitchen becomes crowded. Overall we were very happy with our stay, the owner and his communication. Would recommend the property.

Wonderful house in a great location

Everything about this house exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean. We kept saying to each other that it felt great to sit on the furniture because it just felt so clean. I really had that feeling of wondering how they managed to keep a vacation rental property so nice, but when the house is so nice you find yourself being even more careful and aware than usual to take care of everything and follow property rules. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were seriously comfortable. I never sleep well on vacation, but the beds were comfortable. The kids beds and bedding on the bunk beds felt comfortable like home. My kids loved it. We had rain one day and enjoyed the board games, the pool table, and the ping pong table. My kids played corn hole. The location on the lake is great as it is on a no wake cove, so the kids were free to swim. We had a great week.

Amazing Home, Amazing Vacation

We just wanted to thank Keith and his family for letting us stay at his house for our vacation. Keith greeted us when we arrived, showed us the features of the house, and even brought us cookies his wife baked. The house was very clean (this is very important to us) and tastefully decorated with themes running throughout. It easily accommodated our party of 14 (12 adults/teens, 2 children) and came well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. We were able to swim, float, and fish (caught white bass, sunnys, and a couple of catfish) right off the dock of the boathouse. The kayaks provided with the house were put to good use by some of the older kids who enjoyed paddling out toward the main lake to see the sunset. The yard outside was perfect for playing outdoor games after a day on the lake (corn hole and an outside ping pong table were provided) and having campfires on the beach were a nice way to wind down the night. We rented two boats for a couple of days (Holly Grove Marina which is close but we highly recommend either Morningstar Marina or Poplar Creek Marina since we had a bad experience at Holly Grove) and were able to dock them at the house without any trouble. The fishing on the lake was very good and all of us had a great time tubing (especially during the week when there was less boat traffic) The house is also conveniently located on a small cove about 5-10 minutes off of I-84 which allowed us to do some day trips to Richmond for White Water Rafting, Durham for Paintball, and Williamsburg. Overall, we had a completely wonderful experience. Keith was very easy to work with answering any questions we had and he returned the deposit within 2 days of us leaving. We have rented many houses over the years from VRBO and this was definitely one of the best. Thanks again.

Top notch rental!

Our family and friends recently stayed at the property for a long weekend to celebrate Father's Day. The location could not have been better! Our host Keith has paid special attention to ensure this house has maximum comfort and amenities. The beds/pillows, sofas/chairs, dining table, etc. were super comfortable and fit our group size well. The house was immaculate with beautiful flooring, walk-in showers and fully stocked kitchen. We made use of many of the bonus appliances including coffee maker, sandwich press and slow cooker - wonderful attention to detail for those who want to cook. Also to note they had coffee (Folgers), sugar packs and a spice rack. There were more than enough activities for everyone to enjoy including billards, cornhole, kayaks, firepit, and board games not to mention many spots to take refuge including the upper deck, rocking chairs on the bottom porch and the wonderful shaded dock. The access to the lake was ideal with a walk-in section which you could launch the kayaks from and deep enough water for swimming on the end of the dock. We did bring our jet ski and there were sufficient tie-up points. Quick note that Holly Grove Marina (less than 5 min drive) is right around the corner for easy boat/jet ski ramp access for a small $5 fee, we found this to be ideal for location to save on gas (Poplar Creek public drop-in was about 15-20 mins water distance). The property was well stocked, but we had a few items we were glad we brought along (should not be provided by host): beach towels, bug spray, blow-up floats, outside speaker, kindling/firewood/lighter/s'mores sticks for firepit, condiments (mayo, ketchup, mustard), napkins. One other quick note, the house location was secluded which means our AT&T cell phones were out of service for location (delayed texting, no calls). The host provided WiFi and there was an IP phone available at the house. This setup was sufficient for our needs and helped encourage everyone to stay off devices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely well situated home perfectly positioned for Lake Watercraft.

We were a party of 9 each with a bed and privacy. Most of our time spent boating, fishing, tubing, and jet skiing. Dinner at home followed by game night was were our best memories were made. The Host, Keith, was always available and his pride in his home is shown in every room.

We have fully furnished this home with high quality items to make your stay comfortable and complete. We have fully stocked the kitchen with casual and more formal place settings, multiple appliances, pots and pans, wine glasses, champagne glasses, coffee cups, and casual drinking cups. Refrigerator/freezer combination on both levels. Very comfortable high end beds and bed linens, towels, and seating. Two sleeper sofas on the upper level and a leather sectional sofa on the lower level with an 8 feet pool table. Ping pong table and corn hole boards, 4 kayaks with paddles and life jackets, paddle board.
