Relaxing Garden Getaway

It is a spacious southwestern-type with two traditional bedrooms with Cal-King beds, plus a den/office with a peek ocean view that can serve as another optional bedroom as it has a twin-size daybed. It has two-and-a-half baths, large, open floor plan kitchen, dining, breakfast areas, large living room, approximating 2,000 s/f. total, with slate "throughout", including deck and backyard. Backyard has a wonderful outdoor patio space with covered table and chairs and surrounded by a luscious garden. Front of house has a large outdoor deck for lots of sunlight and outdoor enjoyment. It is fully furnished and includes utilities, cable tv, and wi-fi internet. Washer and dryer on site. Large driveway for parking. Centrally located for easy and quick travel around the beautiful surrounding La Jolla and and all of the rest that San Diego has to offer.

This is a lovely property

Everything is well tended, as are guests by Blaine and Victoria. The kitchen is well-stocked and the garden patios are classy and beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The location is wonderful as well. We hope to return.

Wonderful stay

Blaine - the host - was meticulously, exceptionally responsive and very pleasant to deal with. The house has a lot of wonderful outdoor space with two outdoor fireplaces and a barbecue. I was working on a very demanding project while in La Jolla. The home was a perfect place to retreat. The kitchen area is a huge cooking / dining/ living as big as a small New York apartment - a true hearth. The home is inspiring. For an extra fee there is a housekeeper available. She too is exceptional.

Lovely, tranquil retreat in beautiful La Jolla

The house is beautiful, open and peaceful. We spent many happy hours on the large back patio, surrounded by gorgeous landscaping. The neighborhood is very quiet and walkable to the beach and restaurants. Easy access to freeways. Veronica and Blaine are quite pleasant and helpful. Beds and furniture are comfortable, and the kitchen is large and well-equipped. The house was sparkling clean when we checked in. We stayed for a month and didn't want to leave...we would definitely rent this house again!

Beautiful House & Harden

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful house in La Jolla. The patio gardens were the perfect place to relax and enjoy the perfect San Diego weather. The house was very clean and comfortable. Blaine was easy to work with and allowed us to stay an extra night when a family member got a stomach virus. We hope to stay here again!

Perfect Thanksgiving

This property was exactly what we needed for our Thanksgiving stay. So much space, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen for cooking, parking, location...we could not have been more happy. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful grounds, easy access to local restaurants, beaches, and shopping. I would definitely recommend this property for your stay in La Jolla/San Diego area.

Dream house

This house is amazing. Plenty of space inside and outside. Good internet to work from home. Beautiful view of the ocean and Torrey Pine’s cliffs from the living room. Especially I want to mention location - we are in love with La Jolla. I would like to buy a house here one day.

Beautiful Hacienda in a great spot!

Photos can do justice to the size and quantity of the outdoor spaces. it's amazing! And the inside has plenty of room in the giant living rooms and the HUGE kitchen. Great for entertaining or just relaxing with so much elbow room. The host is awesome, too!

Beautiful stay in La Jolla

We had an amazing time staying at this property! The hosts are extremely kind and welcoming. The property is tucked away in the hills just 10 minutes from the beach. Beautiful views from multiple patios around the house and very dog friendly.

Getaway from the desert

We had a wonderful 10 days. The property is lovely. We took our labs with us. They had a terrific time at the beach. The kitchen is very well stocked - probably the best I have stayed in. There is a wonderful Farmers Market about a mile away so we cooked and ate on the patio. I would highly recommend the home and would definitely go again.

An amazing garden retreat!

We had a fantastic week-long stay at this property with my husband, parents and infant daughter. The rooms of the home are spacious and open, with tons of windows allowing for natural light. The garden and outdoor patio areas are gorgeously maintained and bursting with all different types of flowers, succulents and fruit trees. It’s the perfect area for having coffee in the morning or dinner and drinks around one of the many outdoor seating areas in the evening. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook dinner if you’re planning on eating in (although there are many great, walkable options in the La Jolla Shores area too). The home had beautiful decor and high quality furniture unlike anything I’d ever seen. Really, the pictures don’t do it justice - probably one of the nicest homes I’ve ever been in, period. You can’t go wrong by renting here. Thank you again to our host, Veronica!

Terrific stay

My husband, dog and I stayed for a month. The house was great! Quite large (would be excellent for a group) and a large beautiful back patio with peeks of the ocean. The house was very clean and everything was as described. The beach was really more of a drive than a walk (though could be a longer walk) and you do need a car to get to restaurants/grocery store but if that isn’t an issue, this home is ideal!

Lucky Find

Really lucked out finding this place. The owners had yet to list it on VRBO prior to our arrival and went well out of their way to get it listed and ready for us. Our trips purpose was to check out UCSD's campus, as our son will be starting there this Fall. This house was perfectly located to get to the campus in minutes, as well as the town of La Jolla and beaches. Yet, the house itself is tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. The house itself has been tastefully renovated with quality throughout. If you enjoy cooking you'll love the range and assortment of high end cookware. The ratio of living space to bedrooms is excellent - tons of living space, outdoors and indoors. Beautiful landscaping as well - very San Diego feel - lots of aloes, agaves, orchids, succulents. I really could go on and on. To the owners: thank you so much.
