The first impression when walking into the door is not quite what the pictures online portray. The place is in need of some updates (painting, new furniture, new mattress…to name a few). The room could’ve have also been cleaner. There was hair all over both bathroom floors and there were food wrappers etc, found beside the couch and underneath furniture. The water in the walk-in shower never got warm during our entire stay, and the thermostat can not be set below 71 which made the rooms hot and humid at times. While not all things are up to par, there are some positives. The views of the ocean and inter coastal waterway are stunning! There are beach chairs, etc available for use in the laundry closet, which was a nice addition. Plus, you are right on the beach! Overall, our stay was pleasant. We also had great communication from our host, Ann, before and during our stay.
Added Note: When going from the lobby to the pool deck, make sure to watch your step. It is not level and you have to step down. There is not a sign or notice, and my 67 year old mom fell on our first day, and ended up with cuts and bruises.
