Vega lake Retreat - a unique mountain escape with all four seasons!

Home is nestled on the east end of Vega Lake State park. We will easily accommodate 15 persons in the house. If you have a larger group, please message me, we also have a cabin , RV spots available and an historic sheep camp available for use

Home has a Master bedroom with a King bed, Loft area with 2 twin beds and a full size bed, upstairs bedroom has two queen beds, living room has two (queen size) sleeper sofas, a newly renovated game room with a queen size sleeper sofa and cabin has a queen size bed. 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, hot tub over looking the lake and views to die for.
We have (2) kayakes on site for your use.

We have satellite based internet- it will stream one devise.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:

(2) RV hook up’s with water and 20 amp service. $25 per night charge

1 Cabin with a full size bed - $75 per night charge

1 Sheep Camp with cook stove and full size bed - $75 per night (this is an actual 120 year old early settlers camp wagon, fully restored and ready for your stay.
Studio apartment recently renovated. Upstairs (above the garage) full size bed, twin bed, full kitchen and full bathroom- $100.00 per night
If your wanting to host an event - we can help!

A Remote White Christmas

The property is just like the pictures. Most of our group was from Oklahoma City (we drove up) but some were visiting from Mexico and we all wanted to play with the snow. Absolutely blissful

This place felt so private. We were so comfortable in a well maintained home, while also feeling like we were camping in the middle of nowhere. Hosts were responsive and friendly. Also there were more beds than we expected with the pull out couches! So happy with our experience and would recommend to anyone.

Amazing Stay!

My friends and i rented this place for their wedding, and we had a blast. Property was absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy. Views from the jacuzzi were breathtaking. Spacious rooms, game room, and host was quickly responsive. Would highly recommend!!

Wonderful cabin not to far from home but in the mountains with great views. Enjoyed our family holiday hanging out on the deck and building a campfire to ring in the New Year with local firework show. Hope to revisit in future.

Wedding celebration

Oversea friendships developed online during the pandemic met to celebrate a wedding. This place offered the space indoor and out for celebration, wedding ceremony and gorgeous views. Kitchen well stocked for a lot of cooking. Appreciated the availability of all the extra sleeping space.

Amazing views

We had a really wonderful time at Vega Lake Retreat! The views of the lake, mountainside, and pasture lands were incredible. The walking trails on the property were lovely, the fishing in the lake was pretty good. The owner communicated quickly and effectively. Our only reccomendation would be to add some window coverings on the east and west of the property, the evening and morning sun were really too much.

Great secluded location. Awesome fire pit, house, & grill! Only about 5-10 minute drive to where we could put our boat in. We were initially planning on traveling for my brother-in-law's bachelor party but with Covid going on that wasn't possible. Kaleb was very accommodating.

Great getaway spot

Be warned, while Colbran is only 20 or so miles away it is a lot of roads with slow speed limits, so it does take a while to drive to town. That said, this is a gorgeous location! The house is nice and had plenty of towels and blankets for everyone. Lots of cows nearby, and this trip had the most wildlife I'd ever seen. Deer, mountain goats, rabbits, and foxes! With the wildflower fields nearby, I could not have imagined a better place to elope.

Fabulous views

There were Fabulous views from porch, great time viewing night sky and seeing an awesome shooting star! Sadly, while we were there, the hot tub was unusable because of algae and unclean. We tried contacting property owner, but we were unable to get it rectified during visit. Spacious accommodation, but kitchen could be better accessorized. Thank you for letting us stay.

Fantastic!

This vacation rental is superb. The location is isolated, and we had a fabulous time. Our vacation consisted of 7 adults, two 4-year-old, and an infant in the house rental, and we had one friend occupy one of the RV spots. It's a place for outdoor enthusiasts. We mountain biked down to the Vega Reservoir, got to shoot targets on the property, chilled on the hot tub, and just overall RELAXED. If you require an internet connection all the time, it can be spotty- but we didn't care about it so much. Due to COVID, the kitchen has its minimum necessities like pots and pans, but it is not stocked up with spices, so make sure to bring them. Linens and towels are provided. We wanted to extend our trip one more day, but sadly the place was occupied. We will be back in the future!

Peaceful property

I stayed at the Vega Lake Retreat with my husband and our two dogs for a few days in July. The property sits up on a hill at the end of the lake, and has amazing views. The entire area is very quiet, I enjoyed sitting outside. We had a few windy days, but it typically calmed down around sunset. My dogs loved sitting on the porch. We only used the main floor of the house since it was just the two of us. But I peaked upstairs at the loft and additional bedroom, and they were nicely appointed. The kitchen has everything you need to make a full meal and has obviously been recently updated. The appliances are all brand new. There is a charcoal bbq, but we never used it. The wifi works well, and I had cell phone coverage at the house (but not down at the lake). Make sure you take all of your provisions, the nearest store is in Colbran and it is small. Overall, this is a very nice property, and looks like it is being set up for larger groups with some RV sites with full hook-ups. Would be great for a large family event.

Great lake home

We were visiting Vega for a family wedding and also celebrating our wedding anniversary. The directions to get to the property were easy to follow (dont trust Google maps to get you to the reservoir though - it wanted to route us the very scenic back way). The location of the home is perfect - away from any other homes and noises with great views out every window. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the home. When we arrived, there were giant chunks of hair and dust all over the floors, which i had to vacuum up before we even got unpacked. The fridge and microwave did not appear to have been cleaned in quite a long time and the kitchen counters and sink had crumbs scattered all around. The house just seemed like it could use a very thorough deep clean as the window sills and furniture were very dusty with dead bugs around. The property manager was very quick to answer our calls and questions and offered to rectify the cleanliness complaint, however we declined and just tried to clean what we could to make us more comfortable. Overall we had a great stay and will likely stay here again next time we are in the area.
