Cosy beach house in Rye, 3 minute walk to the beach, shops (including Woolworths at the end of the street), local cafes and restaurants. Fully equipped kitchen, including basic pantry items. Wi-Fi with NBN connection, smart TV, aircon, heating, and basic toiletries all provided. Pets welcome, bed linen and towels provided.

THE PROPERTY:
* The property is comprised of a 3 bedroom house that sleeps up to 10 comfortably, with off street parking

* The house itself is set back from the road and is elevated, giving you complete privacy. Minutes from everything, you won’t need your car once you’re there

* There is a large central bathroom, and separate, hot outdoor shower to rinse off sand on the way back from the beach.

* The beach is a very easy 3 minute walk, with Woolworths, cafes and restaurants conveniently located at the end of the street.

*The house is fully equipped with everything we have been able to think of, including basic pantry staples, a bbq, board games, books, wifi, and basic toiletries including sunscreen.

* There is a full kitchen, with indoor and outdoor dining areas set up for year round comfort, and a separate laundry downstairs with washer and dryer.

* We provide towels and linen. We do not provide beach towels, and our towels are not to be removed from the property.

* We are happy to put you in touch with local suppliers for transport to wineries, bike rental, tours, etc.

* Please note that there is also a fully self contained 1 bedroom apartment below the main house, with separate entrance (via shared driveway), and separately fenced off yard. We use this ourselves from time to time, including when we have guests staying in the main house. We do not rent this out to third parties, so you’ll never be staying at the property at the same time as other short stay guests.

* Well behaved cats and dogs are welcome.

* Yards at the front and rear are securely fenced.

* Dogs must be kept outside during the day. Dogs may sleep in the bathroom or kitchen overnight, but must be kept out of the living room and bedrooms, and off furniture and beds at all times. Dogs must not be allowed to bark outside overnight.

* Mornington Peninsula Shire operates a 24 hour a day cat curfew. Cats must be confined to the kitchen and/or bathroom at all times and are not permitted on the furniture or in bedrooms.

* We do not provide any equipment such as bedding, bowls, kennels, litter trays etc.

* You must clean up thoroughly after your pets, including all excrement. Extra cleaning/ repair fees may apply if these requirements are not adhered to and, for example, it is necessary for furniture to be cleaned or repaired due to contact with your pets, or repairs undertaken to our garden.

* Minimum nights do apply - please contact us directly if our settings do not accommodate your preferred booking dates

Amazing location

We loved our stay! The house is in an amazing location to the beach and shops and we hardly used the car. The house is cosy but didn’t feel cramped, there are two very large bedrooms that easily accommodated our portacots. The kitchen and bathrooms were amazingly equipped. The front yard is totally enclosed making it very child friendly. Our hosts Lucy and Ben were lovely and communication was great. Would highly recommend!!

Lovely place but you may hear the owners as shared property

I had booked the property for a weekend without the children but the first night we stayed I was awaken by a crying child - I think the listing should make it clear that the owners and the family sleep downstairs from where holiday makers reside the listing gives the impression that they are staying in a separate building. However if your are taking your own family to stay there then the noise wouldn’t likely to bother you. Otherwise the house and location to the beach are excellent and I enjoyed my stay but think the listing should make clear you may hear the owners and their children during the night. But it was still a great place to visit and a lovely house. Thanks

We loved this property

Very sad it was cut short by a lockdown circuit breaker in Victoria. Would love to go back one day. The only observation we had was that the back room got extremely hot in the afternoon so if a family are staying in summer it might be a touch uncomfortable.

Cosy house in Rye

Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to border regulations, but we were impressed how well the house was set up for a longer stay. Everything was provided for self catering and entertainment with books and games available. Our hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with .
