A fantastic house in a fabulous location.
We had an amazing holiday in this lovely house which enjoys the most fabulous views from the balcony and 4 of the 5 bedrooms. The house is very well equipped, with comfortable beds and high quality kitchen equipment, and the open plan kitchen and living area opens out onto the balcony, which is equipped with tables and benches and even has room for a couple of sun loungers. There is also a bedroom on this floor, which has doors opening onto the balcony. The garage under the house provides ample room for the storage of bikes and walking shoes etc and there is also a small garden on the ground floor with a couple more sun loungers. Luchon is a lovely town with friendly locals and a great atmosphere. The ski lift from the centre of town up to the Superbagneres ski resort provided easy access to numerous mountain bike trails and, with the house located part way up the Col de Peyresourde and the Port de Bales and Col du Portillon nearby, there is no shortage of testing road climbs. As you would expect, the walking is stupendous too, with many hikes accessible after a short drive and some local walks available from the doorstep. All in all, the most amazing family holiday, with perfect weather and views you just wanted to sit and drink in from the convenience of your own terrace, with a bottle of red wine for company. Thank you for a memorable stay, we were so sorry to leave.
