Great place!

Beautiful, clean cabin. We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place to stay. The owners were great, the place was comfortable and we felt right at home. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved it!

The cabin was spotless, cozy & had everything we needed. The area us beautiful. I could sit out on the deck & watch birds in the beautiful creek. Our dog loved it there also! The owners Eric & Jill were super responsive & friendly!

Everything we expected

Great cabin near Milheim and not far from State College. Very cozy. Nicely equipped. Responsive hosts. Very quiet country getaway in the middle of Mennonites and old hippies. Enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful place in the woods

My wife, my dog, and I stayed here and all had a blast. The space is clean and pretty. It is a cozy, little cabin that really helped us relax! The view off of the porch was beautiful, and a lot of great nature to see around the property. Jill was very responsive, and everything went smoothly.

Perfect little get away!

It was great!! We haven’t been away in so long and we were looking for something peaceful! We were nervous going away during these times but the cleanliness was spot on! The creek is a wonderful spot, and Perfect to bring a float to sit out! It’s about 25 min from Poe valley state park which had a really nice lake! We also got to bring my dog, he loved it and being able to relax outside! We would definitely go back again!

Beautiful property and location within short distance to local attractions

We stayed here over the July 4th extended weekend . What a cute little cabin and property nestled in the valley across from Penn’s Creek. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch listening to the creek and frogs at night. Cabin was fully stocked with everything you need from bedding to kitchen appliances and toiletries. Outdoor amenities included a grill, fire pit and wood. The hosts were extremely responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our girls felt at home. It didn’t register that they were coming but as soon as Jill found out she went and fully prepared the sofa sleeper and even came Friday morning to set up badminton outside for them. The girls were pleasantly surprised to find WiFi had just been hooked up the day we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and exploring the area - From Penn’s Cave to checking out the overlooks and vistas on the mountain roads on the way to Poe Valley Sate Park for the lake and beach and Poe Paddy State Park tunnel. We also checked out the tunnel right up from the cabin. Thank you for a great stay! We have already recommended your place to family and friends!

Coburn stay

We really enjoyed our time in this cute little house. Loved the decoration which made it such fun. Kitchen was extremely well appointed and really well stocked. Lack of storage in bedroom was a bit of a concern but didn’t feel it our stay. Would recommend this place to others

Peace, Peace and more Peace

If you are looking for a peaceful stay away from city life, look no further than this wonderful property. A stones through from several State Parks and close enough to civilization together amenities. The property manager was great, just the right amount of communication. And the property was fresh as if it was on opening day. Peace and tranquility all the way. Thanks for a outstanding week away from the city. I would recommend this property.

Great little getaway in secluded area not far from attractions and larger towns.

The owners are great and very accommodating. Communication was great and they often reply right away. The cabin is in a great location nestled in the woods with a great creek across the road. There is not much traffic on the road and our family was in the creek every day. The remodeled cabin was very nice and just enough for our family of 4. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back in the future.

We enjoy working hard and playing harder :-) We love camping, bike riding, tubing, kayaking, relaxing in the hot tub, campfires, farm to table food and of course we can't live without music or music festivals! We love supporting local artists everywhere we go! The Love Shack is a 1969 trailer completely renovated into a cozy, romantic cabin. Rural - yes : Rustic - a little : Retreat - Absolutely! WE ARE in a rural area, but not too far from many towns. The cabin appears rustic on the outside, but inside - clean contemporary cottage feel will have you relaxing in no time. Retreat, settle in - make yourself at home and enjoy! We offer everything - just bring your clothes, food and drinks ;-) Complimentary bottle of Prosecco to celebrate - well...whatever.

Guests can sleep comfortably on the high queen bed after snuggling up by the warm fire or relaxing in the hot tub gazing at the stars. They can share a romantic dinner on the granite island with a view of the creek. Or guests can simply chill out with their feet up watching their favorite shows on the 55" Smart TV for streaming with FREE WIFI. Read a book on the front porch overlooking the creek. Take a nap whenever, wherever...Guest Choice!

Guests who want to get adventurous can go tubing, kayaking or fly fishing - you can almost cast your line off the front deck! Coburn Park is just down the road for picnics or running your furry friends. Throw a couple of balls at the baseball field or volleyball at the sand court. Bike riding along the creek can be super scenic for nature lovers. Enjoy hiking and biking in the mountains for the more beautiful country scenery on one of many trails. Poe Valley and Poe Paddy State Parks just a hop skip and jump over Seiglerville Pike.

Shop, eat and/or drink locally at Burkeholder's Grocery, Elk Creek Cafe & Brewery, Pisano Winery or The Green Drake Art Gallery or Good Scents Gift Shop. Millheim Meat Market has quality meats for grilling out.

We encourage guests to take advantage of all of our amenities and to explore our valley to the fullest! There is so much to see and do locally and a just a 30 minute drive to either State College, Mifflingburg or Lewisburg - the opportunities are endless for fun memories and adventure.
