Great Family place!

We got together with all our kids and grandkids for a wonderful week at Alderbrook Lodge! Plenty of bedrooms, common spaces and the outdoor area is the best! The private beach and lake was fabulous for relaxing and hanging out together. But only 10 minutes to the town of Bolton Landing and Lake George. Property owners were very attentive to any needs that came up. They were very warm and welcoming! A big THANK YOU to them!

Family gathering

We had a large group of 18 with age ranges from 6 months to 85. This property was perfect and had something for everyone. The location was easy to find and absolutely gorgeous. The property had plenty of water toys, the game room was great! Could not have asked for a better host, so attentive with and a Great personality. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect Family Vacation

We arrived and did not want to leave! There were 16 of us and we had space to play: the pond had floats, boards and boats and the game room; the walking and hiking trails from the property. Inside there was room for eating together, game nights, long talks on the screened porch and several cooks in the kitchen. The location was so easy-minutes from the Northway and Bolton. We will definitely return next year!

I have stayed here 2 times now and I couldn't be happier. The hosts are excellent and accommodating. They were in touch in case we needed anything and gave my group all the info we would need. I am 100% going to be booking my 3rd getaway here!

Bachelor Party

We stayed from Thursday to a Sunday for my best friends bachelor party. The property was off the beaten path and beautiful. The Lake was awesome and the home was perfect. The kitchen was awesome for cooking. I don’t usually come back to the same place I’ve stayed but if I come back to lake George I would 100% come back here. Highly recommend

Beautiful property

We had 12 guys there for a golf trip, and the house and property worked perfectly. The fire pit and dock were used frequently, and the property owner even came by and shot off some fireworks for us. All in all this was a fantastic property.

Outstanding, Magical place for a Family Reunion!

We had wanted an Adirondacks destination without the crowds (other than our family!)...and boy, did this place fit the bill!!! 8 separate bedrooms with comfortable beds, fun bunk bed rooms for the kids. Incredible first floor layout that absorbed our family and allowed everyone to find their "space": from large couches, to the 2 large picnic-type tables on the gorgeous screened-in porch; 2 separate indoor tables in addition to bar stools in the kitchen. Books and puzzles and games provided as if we were family. The best indoor space for me was the kitchen, where we each took a night to cook dinner. Huge, well-seasoned cast iron gas griddle...in addition to 4 burners...allowed us to cook batches of food for every meal with ease. Pots and pans of various sizes made it a breeze to feed 18. But truly, the gem was the private lake! Well stocked for fishing (caught some delicious rainbow trout that fed all of us!) and for water fun: paddle board, canoe, kayaks, row boat, life preservers, dock, fishing poles, Adirondack chairs, fire pit. Seriously!!! Who could ask for more? Well, we got more without asking...a beautiful place to play volleyball, a barn with a loft for the kids to play air hockey and foosball, and then a fun hike to see the beaver dams. Worth every penny we spent! The hosts were so accommodating, answering our every question with enthusiasm, and recommending adventures nearby...but we were never bored, so why leave?!

Amazing

We had the most amazing vacation ever. We had a total of 16 people and it was comfortable for each and everyone of us. All the kids had an amazing time and there was plenty to keep them busy. The Perfect Winter/NYE Getaway

This property exceeded ALL expectations we had. We were a group of 10 celebrating NYE and a surprise engagement at the house. The property is spacious, beautiful, and breathtaking when it snows. Inside, everyone had more than enough space to lounge and enjoy. Every game you can imagine was provided, the kitchen was stocked WAYYY more than we expected, and contact with Jessica was always friendly with a speedy response. Only 12 minutes and 2 short main roads into town where there are wonderful restaurants, breweries, etc. and not even a mile from the main highway for convenience. We will definitely be back to continue our new tradition, this house is everything you could wish for for a relaxing vacation in upstate, NY!

Excellent Stay!

We had a great stay at Alderbrook Lodge! The Lodge had everything we needed to relax and enjoy a stunning fall weekend. The location is sublime and the private lake is a fantastic setting for spending time around camp fire, fishing, playing games and anything else you can think of. The beavers that reside in the lake are very entertaining. Our group of 10 adults mostly cooked in and used the bountiful cooking supplies available in the lodge (the oven/stove is awesome). Sleeping arrangements were perfect - every couple (5) had at least a queen sized bed to sleep in. Alderbrook Lodge is about a mile from the trailhead of one of the best hiking trails in the area (Cat and Thomas) - if you like hiking, the view from the top of Cat is worth the effort. It is about a 10-15 minute drive into the village of Bolton Landing if you care to experience that on your trip. The owners were very responsive to questions and really made us feel at home. Could not ask for a better experience. Thanks for an awesome weekend.

Gem in the woods

We celebrated the New Year at a very comfortable home away from home lodge in the woods. Easy to get to as not that far off the highway and very private. Luckily the road was taken care of as while we were there we had some icy, snowy conditions. We did lose power but luckily they have a generator and Tim was very quick to come over and get it all attached. Power was only off about 5 hours so it ended up not being that long. Lynn was very helpful in answering my many questions and always texted me back quickly with the answers. Loved the views from the porch and having that room with the long table worked out wonderful for our whole group of 15 to have dinner together. The grandchild loved sledding on the side hill as well as our younger 30 year olds...

Alderbrook Lodge-A little piece of heaven on earth

Outstanding is the only word I can think of to describe our stay at Alderbrook Lodge. My wife and I, our 3 daughters and spouses and our 8 grandchildren just returned after spending last week at this wonderful spot. We have been coming up to the Adirondacks for the past 11 years as a family and this was without a doubt our BEST trip. The Lodge was spotless and the grandkids spent most of the week at the waterfront. They loved the kayaks, paddleboat, rowboat and SUP. We had planned on going up to Lake Placid but couldn't pull ourselves away from this place. Owner Lynn Gardner is the nicest person we have dealt with when renting a vacation spot. Exceeded Expectations

This was an outstanding property with everything that we were looking for in order to hold our friend reunion. We had 11 people and had plenty of room. Beautiful private lake, all kinds of fun outdoor gear, huge stove for cooking breakfast, and grill for dinner. It exceeded our expectations- we all loved our experience. Wonderful Memorial Day weekend

We stayed at the lodge as 4 families with kids. The private lake is beautiful, the kids spent the weekend on the lake and playing outside . The Lodge is very well equipped for 16 people (2 fridges, ovens). Everyone had a wonderful time and other friends even reached out to book the lodge for themselves. Owners live nearby, are very discreet but there if you need something which was really convenient.

A Hidden Gem in Bolton Landing

I have been camping and hiking the Adirondacks for 37 years and can say there are certain things about the area that are special and unique. In particular the fresh air, pine needles underfoot, clean lake water and incredible starry nights are among my favorites. Add to them a quiet, cozy lodge with a stone fireplace and incredible views of a serene mountain lake and you've got it all in one place - Alderbrook. This was our fifth year at the Lodge and as with every other stay it was the best! The owners are very courteous and thoughtful. The property is quiet and expansive and sits in a beautiful and very convenient location in Bolton Landing. If you have a large party, it's a great spot to host them all. If you have a small party - its a great place to get away. You can't go wrong with Alderbrook Lodge. Lynn and Ed and great folks, thank you! Book today!

Best Cabin Rental Ever

Place had everything my group needed. Plenty of beds, a stocked lake with rainbow trout, fireplace and great views of the beautiful fall foliage. I suggest this place to anyone looking for a great weekend away with friends.

Perfect Retreat for a Family Getaway

This lakefront, mountain top property was absolutely gorgeous and surpassed all our expectations! We rented out both the main lodge and the guest chalet for an extended weekend retreat and had every amenity needed to make our vacation perfect. Between kayaking and fishing on the lake to exploring the beautiful nature trails nearby, there was something for everyone to enjoy ESPECIALLY the newly renovated game room above the barn (a sure fire hit with any kids in your group). 5/5 Review, we would gladly return someday in the future!

Fantastic Family Vacation

The occasion was a family gathering of eight adults and two children for our 50th wedding anniversary and we all had a blast. Lots of water sports including kayaks, canoes, paddle board, paddle boat, rafts and noodles. Unusually hot and humid weather made the lake that much more enjoyable. While not air-conditioned, the fans did help alleviate the problem somewhat. The large two sided, screened porch was a favorite gathering place and we utilized the large table for family meals. Wi-Fi was somewhat spotty but there was landline service and satellite TV that had a multitude of channels. The washer dryer came in handy and the lodge was conveniently located to most area attractions. Bolton Landing in particular was a short drive away and was a delightful little town, especially the old fashioned ice cream shop .

Memorable Experience - Bachelor Party

We had friends and family come up to the lodge for a Bachelor party. This is the absolute best spot for a bachelor party. We hit a home run. Lynn did an excellent job preparing the accommodations. Plenty of beds, 2 fridges and a huge gas stove. The location is right off the highway and a short drive to the downtown area of Lake George. Plenty of recreational "toys" for the lake which we put to work each day. A nice large area to create a campfire and trails that ran behind the lake. Thanks for the experience, everyone wants to come back again next year!
